About Vestigia: Joust

The first historical jousting simulator, running on Unreal Engine 5. Choose an environment and an opponent, and prove your worth in the lists through a physics-based confrontation. The experience emulates the rules and feel of a joust in the early 1500s, when jousting was at its most popular. The game is best played with keyboard and mouse. Controllers are supported in the game, but you will need a mouse to navigate the menus. The game is still in Early Access. Our future plan is to improve core features, add more environments and opponents, introduce character customization, equipment, horse and armor upgrades, implement replay features, and above all, develop a narrative story mode with strategic choices, dialogues, rivalries, and a system for managing reputation and honor. This experience was created by Vestigia, an independent studio founded by historians and dedicated to producing accurate historical simulations. We want to expand it further and explore many other historical settings. Help us develop a new way to enjoy history!

Although I do think this game is a pretty good deal for a bit of fun, there is undisclosed AI usage for the in-game character portraits. If you don't care about that, absolutely play this game. There isn't any other title that I can think of that does jousting the justice it deserves like this one. But again, the use of AI is undisclosed.

I've only played a little but I think it's really good, and as much as I dislike how little there is to do - I also know that my money is going to be used to improve the game. I like how it's actually pretty hard to get a perfect hit (Unlike other games I've seen) And I'm excited to see what the future for this game looks like. I think it's the money worth. Edit: Ive played an hour and 9 minutes and I just wanted to say that I would love if you could buy your own new armor and other helmets, and so on. It would be really cool if you guys made it so one got money if they won - just an idea I think would be amazing to add - I know you guys are already working hard on the game. (Plus my niece loves this game as well and shes only 8 years old.)

i only played a few jousts but the game has potential. i like the way hits are registered and the fpv is quite realistic as to what you would see from a turney helmet. the content is bare at this point but cmon for 5e you cant really blame them for that. all and all i like the game and hope to see more added to it later on. you wont find anything better for 5 bucks.

At this early stage in development once you get a feel for the jousting, when to lower the lance, where to aim etc. At that point with the current 3 opponents and 2 locations. The most random aspect is whether it is day or night and the weather that comes with it. Based on what they intend to add as development goes on it will definitely be something I will look at again. In the mean time it is little more than a visually polished jousting simulation.

Love the realism, Tips for the full game: Customize player and horse armor, shield and lance color by winning coins through jousting. Possibly add a "tourney event" we're the player can enter a full list facing off against bots or players.
