About VHS Collection: Goodnight Me

The Game
VHS Collection: Goodnight Me is a spine-chilling, atmospheric horror game that takes players on a disturbing journey over the course of five harrowing days. Set in a remote house where the lines between reality and nightmare blur, this game plunges you into a world of eerie visuals and psychological terror.
You play as a lone protagonist who returns home to what should be a peaceful, solitary life. But as the days progress, strange and unexplainable events begin to unfold. It starts subtly—a bizarre TV broadcast showing something it shouldn’t, dreams that feel too real, and objects in your home that move on their own. Each night brings a new nightmare, each day a deeper descent into madness.
On the first night, a seemingly innocent episode of a TV show turns into something horrifying, sparking a chain of increasingly disturbing events. As the days go by, your sense of reality unravels. The protagonist’s dreams become darker, haunted by visions of ominous forests, unsettling mazes, and cryptic symbols. His waking life isn’t safe either—he encounters strange noises, glimpses of a creature lurking in the shadows, and even a haunting memory from his childhood that he thought was long buried.
Aesthetic
The game’s VHS-inspired aesthetic enhances the sense of disorientation, with visuals that flicker and distort as the protagonist’s mental state deteriorates. As you piece together the mystery.

Played this for free in the dark and it genuinely creeped me out. it perfectly nails that weird, lonely insomnia vibe where your own apartment just feels off. definitely got some indie jank, but the gritty vhs aesthetic is so good for a quick scare
I ♥♥♥♥ my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pants.
It has a lot of rough edges but if you're a seasoned indie horror player and you know your 616 games and the like this will be up your alley. Also the achievements and chapter select are super appreciated! Outside of the usual stuff with these games like kinda janky movement and pacing issues and such, my only real nitpick is that the supermarket and pharmacy are like both a zillion miles away for no other reason than to waste the player's time it seems. Also the story while not in a bad way persay, makes zero sense and I have no idea how anything relates to anything else.
beat the game with 66% achievements. A cool horror game where you are jumpscared by a bloody shadow ghost a bunch and walk into dead people. Explore a town road and house and uncover the mysteries, a fun game with chill gameplay
