Fun little mystery game with some slightly challenging puzzles. Fast paced and entertaining six hour long game. Worth trying if you can find it for five dollars.
A bit hard. Better game than thought
Ludicrous meaningless plot which had you going round in circle. Control system not helpful, cumbersome and dull.
Victorian Mysteries: The Yellow Room adapts Gaston Leroux’s classic locked-room mystery into a modern-leaning hidden object adventure. Traditional search scenes are gradually supplemented by inventory-based tasks and light puzzle mini-games, giving the game a more contemporary structure. The story is conveyed clearly, but the player’s role remains largely observational. As Sainclair, you document evidence and follow events while Rouletabille conducts the actual detective work. The environments are detailed and easy to navigate, yet the investigation rarely feels interactive or intellectually demanding. Presentation is competent rather than striking. Cutscenes show modest animation, voice acting is serviceable, and the classical music — drawn from Tchaikovsky — is effective but repetitive. A full playthrough is short, lasting only a few hours. Overall, The Yellow Room offers a faithful but restrained interpretation of its source material. It suits players interested in narrative-driven hidden object games, but may disappoint those looking for a more active or challenging detective experience.
I think this game is quite interesting, I love looking for things.
