✦ AI summary

Players consistently praise the game's excellent art style, animations, and engaging combat mechanics, with many calling it a fun hidden gem worth the price. However, they frequently report frustrating bugs and balance issues—including game-breaking boss fight glitches, progression problems with the upgrade system, control quirks, and inconsistent audio levels—that undermine the otherwise solid experience and need polish before it feels fully finished.

For a game that focuses on parry to just throw that feature away as the final bosses attacks are all unblockable is a terrible thing to do. The combat is insanely basic and you lose so much damage when you take away the parry as every single fight is just dash + slash in the worst kind of way. I get this being a solo dev game and it's only $1.5 on sale. But sometimes a game just ain't worth playing especially when it's only an hour long and you don't nail the premise of a boss rush outside of just having a unique art style. As there are dozens of games that do a boss rush better. This feels like a student project that hopefully the dev can learn we are customers and just being a struggling artist and breaking the forth wall about it at the end is not a means to get pity. I do feel so many people are just praising this game for no reason as it does feel bad to punch down.
Comments for developer
I hope you learn from your mistakes. Animation cancel is needed, keybinds don't show up on the UI and gets confusing. platforming and restarting on hit was stupid and pads out the game. I feel no need to have enemies, just go full boss rush and you could do more bosses and increas…

It took me less than an hour to finish this game, It's fine for this price if you don't have anything to do for 1-2 hours, just don't have too high expectations for 2$ game :D The art is very nice. It has some bugs and during boss fights music plays really loud.

A short-but-sweet sidescroller with a stellar artstyle. I love the colors chosen. It's sticks to purples and reds, yet everything is visually distinct.

Fun and polished enough for the asking price, and the art is especially good. There are some oddities, such as all enemies having contact damage or ripostes dealing damage in an area, but nothing really annoying. On the other hand, there are some small details that greatly enhance gameplay, such as certain attacks having multiple hitboxes with different damage values (getting hit by a skull flying towards you hurts less than dodging into the same skull's bite animation, for example).

loved the art and the combat was fun, but the controls were a little flimsy and hard to get used to (but that might be me). weird ending but it was kinda meta

Beautiful hidden gem. Nice controls, juicy parry, fun boss fights. A bit short, but great overall.
