About Undivine
"Undivine" is a dark metroidvania with RPG elements that will challenge your courage and wits. Step into a world shrouded in mystery and desolation, where every corner hides dangers and ancient secrets. The world of Undivine is filled with relics, items, NPCs, bosses, secrets, and much more, all waiting to be discovered. It's a world ready for you to explore.
Known only as "the traveler," you arrive at the outskirts of a desolate village. The people there live in fear of a giant hole that has opened in the middle of the village, swallowing most of its residents. Brave warriors have attempted to venture into the chasm, but none have returned. With no other choice, you descend into the abyss, only to find a vast, interconnected world filled with mysteries and mysticism. It is up to you to uncover its secrets. Will you be able to face the one behind it all?
Combat in Undivine is fast and satisfying. Use everything at your disposal to face the many enemies you will encounter. Relics, swords, armor, and accessories—all have unique features that will change the way you play the game. Combine sword attacks with the powers of your Relics to execute combos and escape from enemies' attacks. Find the best combination that suits your playstyle.
"Undivine" plays like a classic metroidvania. You will start with only the ability to jump and attack with your sword, but as you make your way through the Realm, you'll find relics that grant you various abilities. These abilities will be useful not only in combat but also in traversing the Realm and overcoming its many dangers. At your disposal is also a talent system, where you can improve your skills in alchemy, demonology, cartography, and many others.
You choose how you will play "Undivine." You are not required to unlock every skill to reach the end of the game; on the contrary, most of what the game has to offer is entirely optional.
"Undivine" respects every playstyle and will reward you accordingly as you progress. The world of "Undivine" was designed to let you explore its interconnected regions the way you like - there is no correct way to explore and to progress. See if you can find all 30 unique collectibles, which not only tell stories from the world of "Undivine" but also reference other games that inspired its creation.

- Freedom of exploration - Undivine's interconnected world is not linear, explore at your own pace;

Players praise this metroidvania for its solid exploration and freedom, with well-spaced save points, atmospheric music, responsive controls, and rewarding optional content that encourage discovery. However, common complaints center on bugs including inventory duplication after death, cursed item removal issues, and occasional white screen crashes, alongside concerns about the cursed weapons system and balance problems particularly in expert mode where combat difficulty feels inconsistent with limited defensive options.
Overall good, interesting to explore. combat is a bit weird. Main issue is bugs that impact the gameplay. 1. If you die, most status will go back to the last save point, however, some items you picked will stay in your inventory, that makes you have duplicate quest item 2. I got the corrupted ring but cannot remove its curse, not sure if this is a bug or I missed something. 3. sometimes when I die, the screen stuck in a white screen.1 found this helpful
Very solid metroidvania. Plenty of freedom and you can do bosses in different orders which I love. Its quite hands off which is also great as I hate having my hand held. The fast travel points and save points are also well spaced out which is also fantastic. I love that sense of relief I get when finding one. This is ruined when games throw tons of save points at you so well I love how its done here. Theres also lots of little optional side quests and plenty of cool rewards for exploration. Music is an absolute highlight. Quite atmospheric despite the very basic retro style. Controls are snappy and responsive and combat is simple but quite satisfying. Only negatives for me were there were a few bugs here and there and I dislike how the cursed weapons system works. You find cursed weapons and its up to you if you want to permanently sacrifice some hp and mana to undo the curse and use the weapon. You should be able to see the stats of the cursed weapon BEFORE removing the curse to see if its worth it or not imo. I often found I would remove curse only to be unimpressed with the weapon and then reload my save to undo the permanent damage. Some of the stats on the items are wrong …1 found this helpful

Fun game. Definitely worth the price.
Fun game. nice pixel art and cool biomes. Plenty of weapons and an interesting talent system. Lots to explore.
EDIT: The below review of the game is based "Expert Mode", which, while my review still stands, I will add that the degree to which these things matter is drastically increased on expert mode. I think that expert mode is unplayable presently and is not balanced given the weaknesses listed below. It's almost impossible to not get hit in this game and the damage scaling and lack of resources make expert mode feel very bad to play. As mentioned elsewhere, it doesn't feel good to get hit a ton yet there is little to do (at least early game) to ensure that you don't. I started a new playthrough on standard mode and haven't broken a sweat on any of the things that were giving me trouble in expert mode. ------------------------------------------------ I wanted to love this game since it has so many elements that I typically enjoy. I have to say, though.I find the platforming controls to be very frustrating. First of all the knock back inflicted is not enough to compensate for almost all enemy advancement. meaning you have to slash and move often. The down side with this is that when you attack you are locked into place rendered unable to move. Another thing I found frustrating is that y…
