[h1] Rogue like with spooky atmosphere and pixelated graphics. Can't see s*** in this game basically because it's so dark and you light your way up using some weak flashlight. One life only so you die you start from the beginning. Can't say it's much satisfying and I was hoping for more. Not recommended. PS: So many great games in this genre like Enter the Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, Neurovoider, Wizard of Legend or even Atomicrops so yeah, the choice is yours. [/h1]

I love top-down rogue-like shooters, they are some of my favorite games. Vintage year deviates from the pack of standard top-down rogue-like shooters by forcing the player not to run and gun the whole time. In order to be successful, you must be strategic about when you engage with enemies and how you use your resources. This provides a different kind of complexity of game-play than what many top-down rogue-like shooters offer. The atmosphere of this game is amazing. The creepy sounds and music puts the player on edge as they make their way through dimly lit, cult-infested levels. The world of this game is very intriguing and I feel like there is something sinister happening in the background as I play. Overall this game is solid. At the price, this game is very easy to recommend. It might not be the kind of game you want to pick up every day, but when you really let yourself get immersed with the atmosphere, this game is truly special.
