About Wandering Okali
Kalops has always been fascinated by the flora and fauna of her world, Okali. Though she used to get all the knowledge she could want from books, her village is too isolated to get enough new material to keep her satisfied. Pushed by her desire to learn, she departs on a grand journey around the world, and finds more than she expected...Wandering Okali is a visual novel with strong focus on fantasy creatures and their biology, which lets you follow Kalops, her best friend Saspi and strange lady Gloria on a world trip around Okali, discovering and learning about unique animals, magical plants, and even mysterious entities.Each chapter is expected to be around 10k words or more.
This VN is a kinetic novel. This means there is only one main narrative, and any choices you are presented with will only have very short-term consequences.What you can expect:Lots of art: Feast your eyes on the many painted CGs and backgrounds, the field notes in the style of old scientific illustrations, and the many silly doodles that complete the visuals of the story. Perhaps even an animation or two, once in a while~Immersive worldbuilding: With the story's focus on the natural world, you will learn about the tiny bugs and the grasses unique to this world, as well as the giant magical beasts and the ethereal landscapes.Girls, girls, girls: Most, if not all the characters will be girls (or girl-adjacent). And lesbians, most likely. A bright and whimsical atmosphere: You can expect to see lots of beautiful, vibrant colors and intricate details!

I love the story so far ! I know I haven't gotten too much into it, but the story, art, and character designs are phenomenal (Seriously, the art in this is AMAZINGGG). I can't wait to read more and see how it all develops !3 found this helpful
It's fun so far! It's a reading based game with lots of cool fantasy creatures! There's beautiful art and an all female cast (unless you count the orb). I finished the prologue and chapter 1 of 5 in a little over an hour. So far, I'd really recommend! Here's a couple helpful tips! you can save from pretty much any point and there's tons of save spaces. I recommend doing so before a choice so you can come back and unlock other doodles! Also, before you load you can set your preferences in the main menu. You can change the text speed and also increase the opacity of the text boxes making it easier to read! One thing I disliked was that I wasn't able to increase the size of the text. This made it harder for me to read (chronic slow reader), especially since the text was thin. I would recommend adding a toggle for that and possibly a toggle to change the color of the text boxes based on who's speaking. This would really help slow readers like me or those with reading disabilities, making the game more accessible.2 found this helpful
Very fun little visual novel with detailed and fantastical worldbuilding! Has gorgeous painted visuals on top of some fully animated sequences. Plus it's free, so there's literally no reason to not check it out.2 found this helpful
