About War Smith
The very trees and stones of the forest have become...hostile. You don't know why your home has become so dangerous, but you must not perish! Team up as two woodland creatures trying to survive in this horde based tower-defense game. One character plays as a Blacksmith, responsible for crafting strategic defenses, while the other plays as a Warrior, responsible for defeating enemies in the field to gather more resources for the Blacksmith's use.
Grab two controllers, a friend, and head out to the battlefield! Each character serves a unique role - without working together, you won't last long. Strategically manage your resources to build the ultimate defensive setup as hordes of angry stone golems and animated trees seek you out relentlessly, desperately seeking vengeance. Why? You can't seem to put your paw on it, but maybe it was something you ate...
Our fierce warrior dashes across the field mowing down enemies left and right, all in the name of protecting their friend. The warrior is responsible for defeating enemies and salvaging resources for the smith to use in crafting defenses. Be careful though, if you're too reckless, the smith won't have much protection.
The natural woodland species to take on blacksmithing, this character is a capable smith who can craft both weapons and defenses. Using resources gathered from defeated enemies, the smith can build defensive walls and turrets, as well as new swords as his friend's weapon durability lessens with each swing. Don't let those muscles deceive you though, the smith is not as skilled in combat as his friend.

A Speedy Squirrel

It has good concept and gameplay, but there is something for me that is unacceptable. If it is on steam, why only for controller? At least it should have keyboard UI for escape. Once I entered the game level, I can't even find the escape button.2 found this helpful
i think the concept and gameplay are very fun, but i agree with the other reviews in that it really should have a keyboard and mouse option. This is especially true for a steam game. overall i think the game is great though
War Smith has a strong core concept. As a controller player, I really enjoy the gameplay system. It's also clear to see that the developers put big effort in balancing progressions and the game mechanics. Overall, I really recommend this game!

Игра 'War Smith' - это захватывающий симулятор кузнеца с элементами стратегии. Мне понравилось погружение в атмосферу средневековой мастерской, где от моих решений зависит не только качество оружия, но и судьба целого королевства. Процесс ковки реализован довольно интересно, хотя и требует определенной сноровки. Важно находить баланс между количеством заказов, доступными ресурсами и качеством, иначе можно быстро обанкротиться. Разнообразие квестов и персонажей добавляет игре реиграбельности. Принимать сложные моральные решения, сталкиваться с последствиями своих действий и торговаться с требовательными заказчиками - все это держит в напряжении. Из минусов могу отметить некоторую однообразность геймплея ближе к середине игры, когда механики становятся привычными. Однако, разработчики постоянно выпускают обновления, добавляя новые рецепты, события и возможности. В целом, 'War Smith' - это добротный инди-проект, который может увлечь надолго, если вам нравится тематика крафта и управления ресурсами. Рекомендую!
