A "classic" PCVR title lost to tragedy...

One of the first if not the first PCVR games that I had ever played.
Back when I ran with 8 gigs of ram, a GTX 1060, (3gb vRAM version) and that hot as ♥♥♥♥ Rift S that made you sweat after 15 minutes: The expanse felt like a dream, featuring all sorts of musical toys and graphical/shader effects for you to stumble upon and mess with after wandering aimlessly through the soft blushish/black fog. Hell, I used to dream in my sleep of what I could find in the void and get my hands on to mess with. Of course I arrived when the game was about to start it's "shutdown" phaze, only playing with the built in DJ set, and visiting other "DJ" sessions once in awhile. Although some may argue the game itself was a massive tech demo for the growing PCVR market at the time, It obviously had alot of love and creativity put into it by it's developers. It was one of those experiences where you had to "be there" to truly understand just how cool it was back then.
It showed alot of potential, only to be sadly shut down later on and be incapable of running locally...
|
Perhaps one day this game will be reviv…

still searching for another VR experience that can fill the massive void left in my heart when the devs decided to put this one on ice. once upon a time it was something truly magical.

There were some wonderfully gorgeous creations in this. I frequently used the repeating sets to demonstrate what VR was capable of to curious friends. I'm sad to see it shut down and wish I could have experienced more of the incredible live sets. Videos/screenshots don't do it justice at all.
