I really enjoyed What's Missing. It stands out from the games I have played in this genre due to some clever mechanics and a thoughtful story which blended into the game play seamlessly. What's Missing isn't your typical spot the difference game. Yes, there are occasions when you have to study one room and then go into the next room and decipher what is missing, but these mechanics soon evolve into some surprising and imaginative puzzles, which involve some lateral thinking, Along the way you will uncover the meaning behind the puzzles, and reveal some of Gregory's most intimate secrets, in a well developed and interesting story. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3217722745
🕹️Gameplay🕹️
Gregory enters a room and must answer the question posed on the mirror. Sometimes, it is a simple question like "What's missing?" and you can go between each room as many times as you like to see what is in one room and not the next. On the mirror are the letters to the answer, although they may contain some red herrings, just to make it more difficult to fluke a guess. Selecting the correct answer opens the door to the next room, and this repeats through three…

Every time I thought I saw everything the mechanic has to offer, the game threw me for a new loop. The puzzles are fun and original! The game is short but in a good way, I felt that no concept got dragged out too long. I like that it's not too challenging so I can enjoy the ingenuity. Can recommend if you like your brain tickled like in Superliminal.

This simple but fun little game had me laughing at multiple points when everything clicked into place. A good lateral thinking puzzle game, that doesn't overstay it's welcome. The boss fight was very creative i thought if a little messy in places. Overall had a wonderful time and would recommend to all puzzle game lovers.

While it has some good ideas, and the first half was quite enjoyable the second half falls kinda short and the boss battle at the end felt kinda lame, and was incredibly buggy for me personally where I almost just gave up and quit. I think with a bit more polish and length it could be a gem, but as is now i will say give it a chance and see if you like it. It's quite short so not a huge deal and also the theme the game is going for is lovely so there is at least that to focus on.

This is a pretty good game, and I definitely had a good time playing it. It's a bit on the short side, but what's there is unique and nice. It's a shame that more people haven't played it. Also, for being a spot the difference game, it's got a pretty touching story. Again, it's on the short side, but otherwise, a pretty good game.

This game really surprised me by taking a basic concept and getting so much mileage out of it. The game goes a lot further than the trailer will give away, and for spoiler reasons I won't share too much either. The evolving design ideas keep the game interesting and fresh for the entire playthrough. If you are looking for something that will delight you with its creativity, this is easily worth the price.
