Игра 'Whimsical Quest' - это очаровательное и расслабляющее приключение, которое, как глоток свежего воздуха, после тяжелых ААА проектов. Незамысловатая, но увлекательная история, полная юмора и добрых персонажей, не оставит равнодушным. Особенно понравился визуальный стиль - яркие цвета, милые дизайны персонажей и детализированные локации создают уютную и располагающую атмосферу. Геймплей довольно прост, но разнообразен: здесь и исследование мира, и решение несложных головоломок, и даже элементы крафтинга. Нет ощущения обязаловки, можно просто бродить по миру, общаясь с его обитателями и выполняя необязательные задания. Не ждите от игры откровений или революционных механик. Это, скорее, лекарство от игровой усталости, возможность отдохнуть и просто получить удовольствие от процесса. Единственное, что немного огорчило - небольшая продолжительность, хотелось бы больше контента. В целом, 'Whimsical Quest' - отличная игра для тех, кто ищет что-то легкое, доброе и поднимающее настроение. Рекомендую!

"Whimsical Quest" is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Vampire Survivors (Copyright Poncle, 2021). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. Putting aside the unethical intellectual, creative and moral bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. "Whimsical Quest" is considerably worse than Vampire Survivors. While everything in this game is basically a much worse version of Vampire Survivors, it is differentiated by there being a set goal to reach with a little bland sci-fi fan-fiction plot, but this is pointless when the technical delivery is some of the worst on Steam. Nobody on the platform ever said "I really liked Vampire Survivors, but I wish I could be playing a version that's much, much worse." This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of…

A hectic, retro styled rogue-lite game that plays like a bullet hell at times. Controls a a bit weird, but i definitely had fun playing it. Will keep you entertained for at least a couple hours.

So, I'll be blunt with this one. I've tried making a video off this and I'll admit, this is one of those games where taste may TRULY vary here, I get that it's a roguelike but to me, it's rather difficult to put into words what I like in this game. Aside from the jokes of the references the classes made. The controls feel awfully slippery, The starting class is FAR too scrawny to work as, let alone advance with. Do I feel terrible that the footage got thrown away? ..No, I don't cause really if I'm not making any progress whatsoever in my reviews then just watching me not making progress leave viewers why I spent 30 minutes constantly dying in a roguelike?
