This may be the best game to show you what you can accomplish in Unity the first 2 days. I'm positive this guy got an A the first week of covering Unity. Rumor is the teacher is still looking for his rogue unity template today. Cons: - Beyond Basic in every single way - Not to knock free sprites, but these are literally some of the most common free sprites of all time. - No strategy - No difficulty - Nothing original, nothing worth $2. - Bloody noses from picking it (out of tissue so using the back of my throat). Positives: - Mindless Clicking: If you are a fan like me you love to just click, click, click. I'm a good clicker. - Procedural pretendness: It's like you never played the same tree level or castle level before! (I have a bad memory). - Up to 4 enemies and 3 classes (aka 3 Player Sprites): I love my games limited so I can learn better. - Some scrolls: You don't like your handful items? Well UPGRADE that piece of crap and throw a fireball! (Love fireballs) - Over HALF a handful of weapons (sword, axe, club), spells (fireball 'awesome') and enemies combined (including my favorite the red spider and yellow spider). It's very possible I might have missed the blue spide…12 found this helpful
Master of Rogues - The Seven Artifacts is a 2D retro pixel ripoff of Hack/Rogue, it's a simplistic CRPG without any content as you bumble through repetitive, samey 2D retro pixel environments and succeeding or failing purely on a basis of poorly managed RNG. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the mediocre 2D visuals. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. The game features no proper level design or game/story flow/plot, as they opted to try to use same…2 found this helpful
A very basic, but at least not buggy roguelike/roguelight game. Doesn't look to do anything particularly well and I'd say there's even free roguelikes out there for free that are leagues better.1 found this helpful
