The game wants to be fun and it starts quite enjoyable while advertising itself as casual platformer. But as soon as you reach the third world you discover that levels goes on forever with some of the most infuriating timed micro-jumping you'll ever see. You get more powerful but so does the level design requiring timing, memory and sync so much that shovel knight seems an easy game. When I reached the level supposed to teach you dashing+cube I almost rage quit 'cause it's one of the most stupid and poorly explained mechanics I've ever found in a platformer. I'm sorry to leave a nagative, there's fun in there but it's quickly overshadowed by the overly long and frustrating levels.

I have some thoughts on this #JonesBlack review, especially the third part, which is 15-15 when you're taught to fly + cube. I think the blocking block part is too high and the sprint to get up is too short, lmao. Just to log into this game's Discord is an invalid link. Are you not going to fix it? I came to this game after playing thru this dev's other game Maiden Cops. I liked that Beat 'em up game, thought they did a good job with it, so I figured I check out their effort with this combat-focused platformer. Much like their other game, I very much enjoyed this one. It was just the right length. The character animations were awesome, movement felt good, levels were well designed, and the boss fight were challenging but fair. I played thru the whole game on my Steam Deck with no technical issues. Overall, I would recommend this game if you like combat-focused platformers. Looking forward to their next game!

it's good hard and unfair with most bosses, so don't expect this game to be easy jokes are ok...

cheap and cheerful casual thematic sidescroller. tends to be button mashy, but aside from that, looking at a screenshot, you know what you're getting. Nothing special, but nothing too much in the way either,
