Sokpop S10: WILD-9 is a compact action-adventure that perfectly encapsulates Sokpop Collective’s philosophy of fast experimentation, playful ideas, and tightly scoped design. Set on a small, donut-shaped asteroid drifting through space, the game places you in control of a robot cowboy whose ship has crash-landed after an ambush. What follows is a brief but energetic journey centered on scavenging stolen ship parts, fending off hostile forces, and escaping the planetoid before it overwhelms you. The premise is light and almost deliberately understated, but it provides a clean framework for the game’s moment-to-moment action and exploration. Exploration in WILD-9 is driven by freedom of movement rather than scale. The world itself is small, but it is open from the start, encouraging players to roam, experiment, and tackle objectives in their own order. Traversal is defined by the hoverbike, which gives movement a sense of speed and agility that contrasts nicely with the asteroid’s otherwise sparse terrain. Zipping across the surface, weaving between enemies, and quickly repositioning during fights gives the game an arcade-like energy that keeps the experience lively even when revisi…

Shooty robot cowboys on scooters. So just another netherland resident simulator. 10 minutes is crazy little time to finish this. I'll give you a call once I made it.

S'ok. Pretty straightforward top-down micro-open-world shooter. All on the surface, easily perfected in around an hour. An annoying bug requiring you restart the game between save files / runs + the glass crashing noise in the BGM are my only complaints. Wish there was a "neutral" option because I don't hate it but I don't really like it and will likely forget I played it soon. The kind of game that 15 years ago would've been freeware. Don't buy this individually, get it in a bundle.

It has all the charm and jank of a sokpop game, so overall it's simple and enjoyable, but I do think this one might be a bit on the shorter and lighter side. Some of the secondary mechanics also feel a bit tacked on, as most encounters can pretty much be solved by just shooting and running. Skooter is pretty rad though.

Pretty fun little game! Though this one is a weird mix of really polished elements, and completely underdeveloped parts: + Visual style and presentation really solid + Map is actually pretty big and has some things to explore + Different gun types and some other upgrades - Some UI elements (heat meter) are almost invisible against the same color BG - The trap/club music is just does NOT fit, and includes very startling and sudden loud sounds (this is a common Sokpop issue. Sorry sound guy!) Just disable BGM. - Scooter controls were too floaty to be enjoyable Unfortunately this game just is untapped potential again. With some shuffling of resources and slightly more polish and content, this could have been a banger.

Pretty fun and nice looking although a bit hard to get into (although easier to get than some sokpop games). Wish there'd be expanded version with more stuff.
