[b]wildlife matters[/b] is a rare species, an animal-based game without cats (tigers and such are fine). it's also a really common species called [b]lazius mobileportus[/b], born in 2022 [b]without an exit button[/b] and never developed one throughout its life and transition to superior platforms. the only upside is its price matches the mobile one, 4 bucks for the whole thing, which is 4 too many if the product is this bad. you're a young ranger taking care of animal business, starting in africa. the basics are explained during the first task of rescuing a caged elephant in the most roundabout way and by using basic scissors to cut some strong net instead of the scythe found earlier. after the [b]4 african levels, 4 asian and 4 north american locations[/b] await. they're all unlocked one by one but after africa you can go to both new places. Wildlife Matters is a point and click game about freeing animals. Each level is like your typical escape game : you have to examine everywhere, find items that you can use or combine and solve some puzzles. Puzzles are not too bad but not particularly interesting either and the fact that this is a mobile game port is blatant. Graphics are awful, the game is laggy and stuck with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fps, controls are barely optimized for pc... I also couldn't finish a level because I didn't know what to do with an item (or it's bugged). Couldn't take it, couldn't interact with it and the hint system redirected me to it so I just gave up. If Wildlife Matters was made for pc in the first place, I probably would've said that it's decent. But I just can't recommend it.

Fun and relaxing little puzzle where you free animals from captivity. The game combines casual adventure with hidden object gameplay. Each puzzle takes place in its own little region, where you must click on hotspots, collect items, solve some simple logic puzzles, and eventually save the animal. You will journey across three different continents, with four puzzles on each. The puzzle aesthetics and captured animal fit the continent, but the game is not very long. Hotspots should be easy to find because they are easily discernible. However, it is possible that something is hidden from view. This is why the puzzle may be rotated and zoomed in. When you click on an interesting hotspot, the game will immediately switch to offer you a closer look. Item management is similar to adventure games. You can use them by holding and dragging them to an interesting spot, or combine them in your inventory. There aren't that many items you can collect, and solutions make sense. If you have a problem or just cannot find anything, there is a very handy hint that recharges quickly. The player can use it to complete the puzzle.

while this looks like it would be fun and with low enough graphical demands to run on any computer made in the last decade, my very decent non-gaming laptop struggles to get 30fps plus it's been coded such that it does not work with touch screens (despite looking very much like a mobile port). I'd be happy to give it a more full playthru but when the developers put so little effort into a release it really saps your interest in overlooking these kinds of flaws on the chance that the actual game is good. Oh well. devs: i'll happily reconsider my review if either of these problems are fixed in a new release.
