"Wood 'n Stones" is a 2D side scrolling survival/crafting game very similar to games like Kingdom or Caveman Craig (although this lacks the depth of either). You control a caveman with some NPC followers, collect wood and survive against Cretaceious period dinosaurs that didn't co-exist with cavemen, so historically accuracy is the second thing that went right out of the window here. The first thing to go out of the window was "quality". Itch has one job, and it's not a hard job, but they failed again... to keep amateur stuff in their weird hugbox where everyone claps and says "Good job!!!" at every bit of amateur drivel (which nobody actually plays) and away from gamers. Unfortunately this has leaked out onto Steam platforms and now gamers have to put up with yet another bit of poorly made amateur shovelware. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game dev…

sadly it wasnt as interesting as i hoped ... the dinos ♥♥♥♥ drops re annoying than the dinos tho

the dinosaurs are very very very annoying .... like you havent gone anywhere with an objective and then they just spawn up out of nowhere
