Wool at the Gates

When I'm reviewing a game I always like to make sure my expectations for the game are realistic. How much value am I getting for what I'm investing? This mainly comes down to three factors -- game cost, total play hours, and overall enjoyment/satisfaction. I was able to beat the campaign in 6 hours. This leaves only Endless and Wildcard mode, I enjoyed the campaign, and trying out various heroes/perks/buildings, but I don't see myself spending countless hours on either of the other modes. I'd say I'm probably going to get around 10 hours out of my $9.99 investment. If you catch it on sale then even less. I find that to be a fair value. As many may notice this game has a lot of similarities to Thronefall. I assume the developer has probably played Thronefall or was inspired by it in some way. However... it's different enough that if you enjoy one you'll probably enjoy the other. Thronefall feels more like a fleshed out game then this game. Technically this game has a lot of replay possibility, but not everyone is going to want to endlessly grind Wildcard or Endless mode. yeah it's like thronefall but with more build variety for your hero, towers and units. Also there are a lot of different challenges. Not many levels but they all have 12 waves and starting from 10th can be quite difficult.

Really fun game, for sure worth checking out.

Pretty fun game. Do I like it as much as Thronefall? Ehhhh, I don't think so, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it. Wool can be pretty challenging on the hardest difficulty, so there is a good amount of replayability, trying to complete all the levels on the hardest difficulty with the challenges.

Honestly, I could not recommend this game enough. Pure enjoyment

Its a cute game but theres barely any content and theres really no reason to buy this over Thronefall I guess i liked the art here better than Thronefall.
