Ditching the classic turn-based tactical gameplay for real-time battle royale action was a bold move that completely changes the identity of the franchise. The movement is incredibly snappy, allowing you to roll, wall-bounce, and spray classic weapons like the Holy Hand Grenade into crowded 32-player arenas. However, without the strategic waiting game of the originals, it often devolves into a mindless spam-fest where positioning matters less than twitch reflexes. game release: hell yeah first update dropped: goodbye! genuinely took a good game and shat all over it on the first update. have not ever went back since, and the only fond memory now is how ridiculously bad the game became after the first patch. literally. oh well! tons of worms games still.. just unfortunate that this is the only non-turn-based realtime one that exists..4 found this helpful

Without a VPN, the game doesn't launch from Russia, showing "Error code E514: Failed to access directory." But even with a VPN, the main issue is that the multiplayer is completely dead. First impressions are mixed. Visually, the game looks great—the locations are 10/10, and the graphics/explosions are top-notch. However, it completely lacks that legendary Worms atmosphere and, most importantly, the destructible environment. [b]An open message to Team17:[/b] If you read community feedback and still care about this franchise, please listen to what fans actually want. We desperately need a true successor to [b]Worms 4: Mayhem[/b]. Full 3D, simultaneous moves, fully destructible maps, and intense 5v5 team matches—this is the formula for a masterpiece. Independent developers can't build this because you hold the trademark for "Worms" and the copyright for their iconic look; any indie spiritual successor would immediately face a DMCA strike on Steam. You are the only ones who can bring this sub-genre back to life.
