Worms Rumble

Ditching the classic turn-based tactical gameplay for real-time battle royale action was a bold move that completely changes the identity of the franchise. The movement is incredibly snappy, allowing you to roll, wall-bounce, and spray classic weapons like the Holy Hand Grenade into crowded 32-player arenas. However, without the strategic waiting game of the originals, it often devolves into a mindless spam-fest where positioning matters less than twitch reflexes. It's a fun, chaotic spin-off, but old-school fans of the series might find themselves missing the calculated destruction of the classic entries.

Game's definitely dead now in this day and age. Would be better if they added some bots or something

*200+hrs outside of steam -It is nearly impossible to find a match nowadays unless you ping the worms discord server/friends. (Game is also 5+ years old at time of writing!) -There are no bots, so practice or actually playing a match is difficult without modding. -Bold, different gameplay from rest of franchise, live action instead of turn based. -Matches devolve quickly from using solid positioning and skillshots to a twitch-reflex spamfest. -Runs decently on lower-spec rigs, and is pretty fun if you can get a match. -Worm customization is great, franchise weapons and nods are plentiful, with a lot of new weapons and gadgets. -Tutorial teaches you the controls, but you will learn how to play through matches and trial-and-error. I recommend it, and had fun when it was active, an early example of early solid cross-platform gaming. My heart goes out to those who missed out. I hope Team17 has an event in the near future that helps bring players together once again, even for a day.
