Xeno Strikers Hyper Squadron

Far too basic and repetitive. Same 3-4 enemies over and over. Every level feels like the exact same stage. You will use half of the weapons in your first run, leaving not much variety. I did a single run and won without losing any HP (though my shield took hits). Sure, there are 9 or so more difficulties to unlock and replay it on, but who would want to do this? Runs are also too slow to reach a point to where they get remotely engaging. The basic building blocks are there for this to have potentially become a decent game had it received A LOT more development.. but instead all we have here is the most generic basic crap you would expect to find on itch io.

Xeno Strikers Hyper Squadron is a pastel coloured shoot-em-up with 3D top down graphics and a nicely low-polygon centric art style. The landscapes are detailed with trees and bushes which can make it tricky to see incoming fire, and the initial player ships wingspan means the bullets will sometimes pass by either side of the enemies instead of hitting them (so much of the early levels are spent hitting enemies with only half your firepower). Overall this is a simple shmup with a cute low polygon aesthetic.

Lovely game with great 80s vibes and soundtrack, modernized through roguelike mechanics and rarity pickups.

Cool retro shooter. Great music and nice fun
