About Xeno Strikers Hyper Squadron
Aliens are attacking the world! Only the Xeno Strikers Hyper Squadron can repel their attack! Are you the pilot who will kick the invading forces out of the solar system?6 weapons to unlock and upgrade:
- Blaster - Shoots projectiles straight ahead! Can be upgraded to shoot twice, to pierce enemy shields, and to slow enemies!
- Burst - Rapid fire machine gun! Can be upgraded to fire massive waves and stun enemies!
- Laser - Instantly zaps the closest enemy! Can be upgraded to chain zap several enemies and set them on fire!
- Spheres - Plasma spheres orbit the player ship! Can be upgraded to stun enemies and to knock enemies out of the skies one after another!
- Pulse - A powerful shockwave pulsating from the player ship! It can be upgraded to cover a massive area and to slow enemies down!
- Missiles - Launches from the side of the player ship! Can be upgraded to deal splash damage, stun, and set enemies on fire!
- Forest - The easiest enemies seem to be lost in the forest! Help them find their way out -- from the world!
- Ice - Aliens may be cool, but are they cool enough to withstand the frozen tundra?
- Desert - Too hot and inhospitable for most, but aliens still found their way here!
- Tropical - Usually, it's better to go to these tropical islands for a vacation, but today, there's work to be done!
- City - The final stand against the aliens, where the most powerful enemies are congregating! If the city falls, the world is doomed!

Far too basic and repetitive. Same 3-4 enemies over and over. Every level feels like the exact same stage. You will use half of the weapons in your first run, leaving not much variety. I did a single run and won without losing any HP (though my shield took hits). Sure, there are 9 or so more difficulties to unlock and replay it on, but who would want to do this? Runs are also too slow to reach a point to where they get remotely engaging. The basic building blocks are there for this to have potentially become a decent game had it received A LOT more development.. but instead all we have here is the most generic basic crap you would expect to find on itch io.2 found this helpful
Xeno Strikers Hyper Squadron is a pastel coloured shoot-em-up with 3D top down graphics and a nicely low-polygon centric art style. The landscapes are detailed with trees and bushes which can make it tricky to see incoming fire, and the initial player ships wingspan means the bullets will sometimes pass by either side of the enemies instead of hitting them (so much of the early levels are spent hitting enemies with only half your firepower). Overall this is a simple shmup with a cute low polygon aesthetic.1 found this helpful
