About Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom

Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom! is a trippy arcade platformer ready to take you on a crazy adventure!
Wait, It's Not A Driving Game?
In this chaotic platformer you spend more time in mid-air than on the ground, even though you have 🚫 NO JUMP BUTTON! String together moves to reach spots even the developers haven't accounted for, as you flip, dash and bump your way to new heights!

Hoarder's Paradise
We took "collectathon" seriously! Make your way to the most obscure and difficult to reach corners of our hand-crafted retro levels and we made sure there's something there for you to collect! ... We dare you, try to get out of bounds 👀

The Questionable Crew
Pizza King, Morio and Ultra Chad are only a few of the weirdos you'll interact with as you piece together the narrative puzzle and unravel the grand conspiracy happening on Granny's Island! 🌴

Genuine Passion Project
This entire project is the brainchild of Matteo and Lorenzo, who made everything from scratch out of genuine passion for the olden days of video games! 🎮 The game wholly reflects their personality, and judging by the trailer... trust us, it's a trip worth taking!

I guess I'm in my scrooge arc because I did not enjoy this. The movement tech is wayyy too finicky for there to be so so many precise jumps. You can do the exact same inputs on the exact same ramp spots, and end up in 2 completely different areas.1 found this helpful
This game needs way more love. Core gameplay is so fun that the only complaints people have are that the levels sometimes stray from it (Crash Test Industries was a horrible idea tbqh). 10% of everyone who has launched this game has 100%'d it, what more can I say. Buy it... NOW!!!1 found this helpful
Game is very fun with some bopping tunes. But dear lord, what is the point of the timers and the laser in the dream level? The timers serve no purpose because there are clocks to pick up everywhere, and the laser in the dream does nothing but impede exploration in a game entirely about exploration.
I love this game. Controls are sharp and responsive, and movement tech is so satisfying. Aesthetically the game is really nice and the tone is charming. Music is overall not my thing here, but the loud energy it gives still adds to the game's charm. The difficulty is on point. Sometimes collectathons feel boring in the collecting aspect, especially when the playable character can sometimes feel sluggish, but Yellow Taxi is fast and snappy, collecting things is satisfying, especially when you try to reach some nonsense areas by either in the intentional way, or by screwing around just the way you want. It's so much fun! Only negative I really have is, is that when you dash against slopes, no matter in what angle you are, it's kinda random if it makes you go super high, far, high and far, or crash into the slope where you just lose all the speed and height. Good thing the movement otherwise allows me to fix the fumble quickly by quickly try again, reorient, and/or just keep going anyway despite a bad slope dash. I got this game in 2024 but finally came around to play it just few days ago. Definitely one of my 2026 highlights.
Yellow Taxi is a masterpiece. It's a lot of fun and very refreshing to play. It's super colorful, creative, playful and vibrant. The colors/style are beautiful and nostalgic. Reminiscent of N64 and PS1 games while also taking visual inspiration from retro arcade games. Gameplay/level design is inspired by Mario 64 but also pulls inspiration from Crazy Taxi and Sonic. It's a 3D platformer similar to Mario 64 only there's no jump button. Instead, you have to use a combination of boost, physics and level design to bounce and fly around. It's a bit challenging at first. But once you get the hang of it, you'll be zooming around the map no problem. The music is great. The humor is amazing - it's silly, random, satirical and self-aware. I frickin' love this game. It's a hidden gem and I'm really glad I found it. You won't regret playing this game. Tell everyone about it!
A great 100%, but sometime hard if you dont perfectly know the tricks
