Pretty nice game for its genre. But I can't help comparing it to Desperados 3 since I played this game right after finishing that one. And making that comparison really gives this game a bad look for me. For sure, this game came out much before Desperados 3 but I don't believe the release date has anything to do with the problems I have about this game. My point here is not just speaking ill of this game; Blade of the Shogun is in a niche genre and I'm glad there are people out there putting time and money into making games like these. All the problems I mention here have been fixed in Desperados 3 so I congratulate Mimimi Games for actually caring about their games, unlike most devs these days. First of all, I was not hooked on the story that much. It is most likely due to the fact that I played a few missions, took a few years long break from it then resumed from where i left. But still, nothing was attracting my attention during the cutscenes. Wanted to like this game. Even years later, I see it in my library and feel like maybe I should reinstall it...? Then I remember there is no in-game pausing to issue commands and I just cannot. What a shame!
