Feel the thrill of the hunt and keep an eye out for the wild and wonderous species that are roaming the wilderness. Hunt in North America and display big game like Moose, Elk, Bears, and Bison as well as, smaller animals like Rabbits, Turkeys and various other birds. Venture to Africa and hunt some of the most dangerous and diverse species yet, including massive hippos, thunderous buffalo, prowling lions, and deadly Nile crocodiles.
As the ultimate hunting simulator, Way of the Hunter 2's goal is to become the most authentic and advanced virtual hunting experience. Building upon our previous experience, invaluable player feedback, and countless iterations this game will start as the foundation for many updates, expansions, and a true long-term support. As the new hunter in town, you are recruited to take on a series of unique challenges that span two breathtaking environments and introduce you to a cast of memorable NPCs. In New Laurentia, you’ll team up with a skilled dog trainer and assist the former warden as you uncover the mystery behind the unusual behavior of the local moose population.
In Kilimaya Reserve, you will work for Hearth & Hunt in support of a renowned safari guide, meet an eccentric archery trainer and attempt to recruit a legendary retired huntress.

Way of the Hunter 2 is generally praised by players as a fun hunting game that builds well on its predecessor, but it suffers from significant technical issues including severe performance drops when using binoculars or scopes, along with various bugs like disappearing equipment and animals that can be costly in-game. Players feel the game launched prematurely with insufficient content and polish, though some remain hopeful the developers will address these problems with updates.
Whenever i go into binoculars or weapons scope the game performance goes from ~85 FPS to 1 FPS. Thus, for me the game is unplayable. My PC should be able to handle this game. Resolution 3440x1440 Ultrawide - FSR Quality.3 found this helpful
good game, picked up where the first left off with a good roadmap ahead. only drawback for me is even at its hardest its still not a hard game. but thats me wanting ot to be something it isnt. im looking for a simulator this isnt a simulator

Give the devs some more time to work out the kinks and add some more content and this game is easily going to surpass WOTH 1. WOTH 1 was, and still is, fantastic.
There are still a lot of bugs that weren't tidied up for launch including the irritating Tent/Stand/Hide disappearing bug which is very frustrating as it's an expensive one to experience in the in-game economy. I'm too afraid to taxidermy any animals in my lodges as I had some of those disappear during early access recently at again great cost. I was also hoping for more quests/missions moving from early access to 1.0. It all makes it feel/look like the 1.0 release was just way too soon and just a token "lets slap a 1.0 on it so we can release it on console and start charging for season passes and DLC". This leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. They should really have delayed launch until it feels like a more complete product. Even the graphic on the product page shows 3 hunters and a female character model and none of this is in the game yet. That said I've had a lot of fun with Way of the Hunter 2 through early access. The world is expansive, detailed and incredibly beautiful (personally I much prefer the graphics and art to the first one).
