About Forestrike
Forestrike is a martial arts roguelite where you play as Yu, a martial artist fighting to free the Emperor, using a mysterious "Foresight" technique to rehearse encounters in your mind before facing them for real. Master new fighting techniques from eccentric Masters across a handcrafted pixel art world, combining moves and adapting your strategy with each unique run until you can achieve victory without relying on Foresight.
Forestrike is a martial arts roguelite where every death brings you closer to winning the fight before it begins. Use your ‘Foresight’ ability to experiment without consequences before fighting for real until earning the ultimate reward - victory without ‘Foresight’.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Forestrike combines real-time action with puzzle-solving and roguelike mechanics in a way that players find deeply satisfying and surprisingly deep, with multiple viable strategies, engaging storytelling, and fluid gameplay that rewards both planning and execution. Players praise the variety of approaches available and note that mastery takes time despite simple core rules, though some felt the game was on the shorter side. Most players who engaged with it consider it a worthwhile experience that's underrated and worth playing.
A hidden gem. It's a little Hades, a little Fights in Tight Spaces, a little Hotline Miami.2 found this helpful
This is a hidden gem. i really like this game. I really hope the developers give it some DLC, since the base game is kind of short. also lacking Legendary martial arts.1 found this helpful
An usual roguelite with a satisfying gameplay and various techinques to spice up each run. The game itself is pretty short and I though the plot twist at the end is kind of on the nose, but overall the it is very enjoyable to play and pixel art is great! Recommend for roguelite enjoyers1 found this helpful
Having just played one run so far, this game has huge potential. I'm very much enjoying it. Edit: This game is phenomenal. It really differs itself from other roguelikes by actually having multiple interesting characters and a fun story for them. One of my favourite parts of the game is that one of your masters tags a long for the journey, so you get to constantly chat with them throughout a run.1 found this helpful
Probably the most underrated indie game I've ever played. It's really frickin good.1 found this helpful
