Road Defense Racing

Fun little Rock n' Roll Racing clone. I beat the first 10 of 30 total races in under 20 minutes so it looks like the whole game can be beaten in about an 1 or so meaning there isn't much content. One thing I noticed in other reviews is the complaint of the camera being too zoomed in. There was a recent addition to address those complaints to zoom out the camera quite a bit so you get a much larger view than the screenshots and vids on this store page are showing.

It's a pretty good game, remind me old NES/MASTER SYSTEM games. A quite difficult but I think needs more practice from my side.

Great fun! It's everything a good arcade combat racing game should be. Short, fast races, cool cars with destructive scenery bits, and loads of combat racing with upgrades. Good sound and music, too. Title screen looks totally awesome. I love all the extra little bits like the train and the planes etc (although I do feel like the planes are a little unfair and I haven't figured out how to avoid them yet!!!) it makes the races more challenging and more interesting. I've not played for very long yet - done 6 races so far (they're nice and short / arcadey length so perfect for grabbing a few minutes here and there) - but I'm loving this and looking forward to playing some more on my lunch breaks. I picked this up on sale for an absolute bargain, but I'd be happy if I'd paid full price for this too. It's a great little arcade game.

Fun game. Absolutely broken. One of the easiest games to get all achievements. It's a 6.5/11 for me, Could be a solid 8 if it was more challenging and also if you couldn't fill the map with mines.

The fact that its trying to be Rock n' Roll Racing is awesome, and I'm not being ironic here. It surely is. Nobody tried to replicate that game that is already 30 years old, and I never know why. Its a winning design, we all know that. But, this one has its flaws. Like I said, RnR is 30 years old. And somehow its still better and unbeaten. In RD, UI is bad. Upgrades are ugly. Upgrade screen looks like a DOS game. Surely it have good moments. But it still fell short. Just a little short. 4.5/10.
