Cozy Country

Has the beginnings of a great game, but there are quite a few bugs that need to be ironed out before it's super relaxing. Has lots of items that Tiny Glade is missing but very buggy currently. Will definately update my review to reccomend once these bugs have been fixed.

Looks okay in the screen shots, but the actual game feels sloppy and hastily made. Procedural generation sorta works, but never really turns out anything great, and the character in exploration mode is somehow both hard to control and over reactive to input? Just a bad experience all around. This dev needs to stop churning out half baked ideas and just focus on a single experience.

man Protopop can drop some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bangers. the ends of rivers could stand to be reworked a little, and maybe on steep slopes have the paths turn into some rocky steps, but im loving it and honestly couldnt care less if these things were actually ever changed or not. EDIT: It seems as though every river just goes straight to the ocean. I must have had the single anomalous river that stopped a little shy of the ocean, and it looked a little bizarre on the end. So ♥♥♥♥ my river critique. Also, protopop, throw some steam workshop integration on this bad boy and let us upload custom landscapes and items. thanks love you since brightridge.

Everything I hoped it would be! Very relaxing and nice. I wish the explore mode player wasn't so fast action, it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the relaxing cozy appeal of the game, but regardless the main part of the game is so nice to just sit and play around with for a little while.

The Other Games are better! Just work on them or at least bring the character customization and shapeshifting feature from those games in this one along with more animals.

I haven't had much time to play this so far, so I will edit this review as I grow along. So far my experience with this game is magical. It is on my mind daily as the visuals are calming eye-candy, and the ideas are endless. But, I did find myself confused with the controls (could've been the martini's, though) to which was hard to figure out how to undo and bring back the arrows to resize or turn. That does not deter me from continuing though, as I believe my brain was just in a silly mood. This game does bring joy, and I am thankful for the creator for making this wonderous game and excited to try the others <3 Cheering the devs work and creativity on like a passion! 🍻
