- A fantasy wargame like no other – A diplomatic victory is not an option, you cannot relax until your enemies lie crushed under the might of your strategic brilliance! The turn-based hex maps gives you time to ponder your next move and your weapons are the vast armies that relentlessly march to conquer all that oppose you.
- You are the Great mage – Select who you are from a roster of over a dozen Great Mages, all with different abilities and spells, and choose which people you command on your path to victory. If no Great Mage suits your taste you can even custom build your own from scratch.
- Proudly wield your magical power – Not only a superb battlefield commander, your immense magical powers will also aid you in your conquest. Carefully research over 170 spells and choose what to specialize in, from direct attack spells to terraforming, or maybe align yourself to one of the Gods to harness their powerful blessings. With time, you are even capable of customizing each spell using powerful glyphs.
- Diverse worlds requires different approaches – The several different and randomly generated maps all have their unique challenges and opposition to defeat. Use the terrain to your advantage!
- Different campaigns – Choose from either engaging your foes on a grand map in the sandbox game mode or the path of the Exiled, a revenge tale full of twists and turns, where you strike back at those who banished you from the world of Ardania.
- Raise armies – The people you lead and conquer all bring their unique units to your command. Choose if you want to field a stalwart Human army, command the Undead hordes, use the mysterious Planestriders, or mix and match them all plus others to your delight. There are a total of six different races to pick from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
- Hire heroes – When your reputation grows, random heroes will be attracted to your cause, bringing with them their own special flavor to add to battles. Equip them with legendary artifacts, found or crafted, and make them your battlefield commanders.

What Steam players say

Warlock 2: The Exiled is a short-form strategy game that blends Civilization and Age of Wonders gameplay with unique unit mechanics and resource variety that players appreciate, though it suffers from significant technical issues including frequent crashes and alt-tab problems. The game offers good art, interesting faction mechanics, and engaging strategic concepts, but lacks the depth and staying power some players expect, with matches playable in just a few hours. Players recommend it as a solid experience in its genre, though the stability issues and limited replay value warrant caution.
Warlock 2 is a game that reminds me a lot of Eador, for all the good and bad that that entails. Wheras Eador was a longer form, more complicated game that thrived in it's campaign but was plagued by bugs, balancing issues and repetative tedium, Warlock 2 is much shorter-form - even me as an inexperienced, completely new player was able to finish an entire game in a few hours - but also lacks a lot of staying power and personality compared to Eador. I'll start with the things I liked because they're few enough that I can get them all stated right from the off. the game looks nice, the art is well done, the concept of warring through shards of broken worlds to conquer and claim victory is also a good concept, and I liked a lot of the ideas behind the story and characters... and that's about it. The "story" is about a paragraph long, both campaigns combined, and has barely any staying power or interest. Plot points (such as the United one in the Naga campaign) are brought up once and then discarded, enemy Ai have almost no personality whatsoever (assuming they live long enough for you to even meet them, which tends to be a crapshoot), and the "quest" system is so simplistic and poi…2 found this helpful

Pretty good
Pig slop cant alt tab the game.
The Warlock series is a fantastic blend of Civilization and Age of Wonders with many of the strong qualities of both games as well as its own flair. The stand out difference from the above two series, is how unique every single unit in your army is, and how you care for each one as individuals. Almost every unique resource on the map has at least 2 or 3 possible different structures you can build on it, depending on the race of the city which claims it and which decision you make. For instance, a herd of donkeys can be turned into a slaughter house by the "goblin" faction, or into incredibly tanky and fearless "Stubborn Knights" by the humans. Silver can be turned into a resource rich silver mine, or a magical research lab. Once you have the silver mine, you can start buying silver weapons for each of your units, or perhaps some iron armour from another mine. Combined with a selection of 3 abilities per level up, and a large number of enchantments, every single one of your units, even if they are all Human Swordsmen, will have a different set of abilities, strengths and weaknesses which cause the player to grow attachted to each and every one. All combat takes place on the…
