What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Driver® Parallel Lines is remembered fondly by longtime fans as a solid classic street racing game that still holds up, though it requires community mods to restore missing content like 2GB of original music and visual enhancements. Players praise the core gameplay and nostalgic appeal but note that the PC version is missing features compared to the PS2 original, controller support works despite Steam's incorrect listing, and some users report technical issues. The game appeals primarily to series veterans and retro gaming enthusiasts who don't mind applying mods to get the full experience.
out of the box this actually plays pretty well, but you still should use the fusion fix and music restore mod - 2gb of original music missing in the pc version... i also use the PS2 visual edition mod, which brings some og PS2 graphical features back and the PS2 car camera position mod. steam says the game has no controller support - which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. my xbox con works totally fine. you just need to change the input method within the game menu. it is so sad what ubisoft has become, when you think about what great games they once made - everytime i hear and see the old ubisoft logo intro, i know im playing a good ubi game. oldschool gaming ftw! cheers5 found this helpful
An absolute gem from a once known as one of the best companies and now jus a money hungry company called Ubisoft. Drive is what I grew up with and my obsession with racing games draw me into this genre since Driv3er or Driver 3. There is nothing to explain just wish this game wasnt the only Diver on steam and Driver 3 and driver San Francisco was still on steam love them both.3 found this helpful

Is still great, exactly as I expected. When I played it for the first time on PS2, my only wish was to see this series Bring back again.
