Came in with curiosity about the gimmick as most probably did, and after completing a run with most of the characters, I've basically lost all interest in continuing to play because of the bad design choices. The gimmick itself is a good one, and could have been the basis for a high-quality game. There are a lot of characters, which is nice. Ok, just ran out of compliments- and that should tell you everything you need to know. If you'd like a more comprehensive list of why this game is 1/10th cooked, read on. Graphics: Could do better with Windows 95 and MS Paint. Legitimately horrible, not "vintage" or "throwback" or "twee" or "family-friendly" or whatever they were going for. Outright bad. The Dungeon: Literal time-waster, as it is completely linear but with dead space. No variation, looks bad, feels bad. Nothing to explore unless I've overlooked attempting to walk into every square of wall searching for secret doors, which feels like more time-wasting, i.e. insulting the player. [h1]Simple fun and easy roguelike, where in a single fight you grab more items than you ever will with real life claw machine[/h1] Dungeon Clawler is a turn-based roguelike, where player has a pool in which player's items rest, waiting to be collected with claw. Dungeon clawler is an easy game to control, you first adjust claw on sideway, then press space to watch claw go down and hope it grabs the items you hoped it would. Then the enemies do their attacks and hopefully don't kill you or otherwise it's back to square one without one upgrades. Or small correction, if you manage to beat a run with character, then in future runs with that character you can equip three perks that relate to other characters you have made a successful run. One thing I must tip my off for Stray Fawn Studio is how many playable characters there are, though some of them felt very weak especially on higher difficulty tiers. Honestly I have not a lot to say negative about this game, this game wants to be so easy that everyone can complete on default difficulty, but there's 19 extra difficulty tiers similar to Slay the spire so there's challenge present for those who want it.
