TRUE LOVE'S CURSE

I didn't know curses could be this wholesome! npckc likes to play with fantasy tropes, and it's always worth it for the cute characters and delightful twists, not to mention the casual (or in this game not so casual) queer rep. I find mainstream ideas of romance boring and kind of icky, but I had a lot of fun with this little VN. It's very short, and a big part of my play time was giggling over the multiple choices for the Scroll of Cursing and their possible outcomes. There are 6 different endings that aren't too hard to get, and after getting the spoilered achievement you can find a nice little epilogue in the menu. The gallery with short descriptions of the shop and characters is also worth checking out. Having played another one of their stories before, this one while significantly shorter is a lovely in how it portrays it's characters.

Short and sweet with cute characters.

This was a cute, short visual novel. The art style is appealing to me. I enjoyed npckc's work on A Year of Springs, and look forward to seeing more from this developer. To Steam Desk users: Steam's page says 'Unknown' compatibility for Steam Deck, the dev however on Steam Discussions says that the game is compatible.
