Broken Spirit

This is the sleeper hit of the year. Dark Souls fans must check this out. If I could give a quick summary for those who don't want to read this entire long review, Broken Spirit is: Demon's Souls in terms of presentation quality, Elden Ring in terms of environment, Dark Souls / Ninja Gaiden in terms of combat, Legend of Zelda (NES) in terms of mystery and often not knowing what to do The demo is not a great representation of the game, it seems to be an older build of the game and starts differently (it's more confusing). I would recommend buying the game and playing it that way, and if you don't like it, you can always request the Steam refund. However, if you give this game a chance, you will want to see it through. Depsite being so familiar with the souls elements, the biggest issue with this game is getting into it because it takes a while to get a hang of. The game is a more action oriented soulslike and platforming plays a role as well. While the Souls games typically have light and bizarre platform elements, this game has actual jumping and you routinely need to navigate doing so. It works well though, I never got stuck and the character moves and jumps pretty much how you…

This game will surprise you. Don't go off the demo, I mean somewhat if you just want see what the game looks like, but it is not a great representation of the game. Its a giant world with all kinds of things to find and unlock. I don't know how much is here, but the map seems really big, the combat is decent and the graphics are really good.
