X-COM: Apocalypse

This game is a classic. I wishs the made them this good again.

One of the best games in the Xcom universe that they never tried to replicate. This game was so much fun and took up so much of my youth and continues to take up peoples times today. I wish the OpenApoc was easier to install but its github looks complicated. Maybe oneday 2k will remake X-com Apoc into X-com 3 or maybe phoenix Point 2 and Phoenix Point 3 will follow the amazing paths.

My first turn based game ever played as a kid! Good 'ol DOS games haha. Man it was so good for its time. Really hope a new Xcom goes creazy like this being able to blow up buildings and many floors at once causing total chaos like X-Com Apocalypse did. The recent one was fine but really expected more destruction like in this from like 1997. VERY close to FTL level difficultly which is awesome.

Recommend but don't recommend. Best X-com, emulator ruins it, but can ease the pain with some pc gamer's oil. I would warn people to not try it if you don't want to tweak the files to lower the NO CD issues, but i cannot leave a bad review over one of the best game i ever played.

it's fun

9 out of 10 Probably one of my all time favorite games as a kid. If you can get past the old schools graphics this game is huge and deep with great storyline and a full city of different organizations with their own alliances and factions. It's also kind of like a early 4x game because you fight in missions raids ufo recoveries and the city or world map you can still use your vehicle arsenal to try to do damage to enemies. I really enjoyed the fact the enemy corporations can literally run out of money if you do enough damage to them so they can't really fight back if you just keep smashing their corporate buildings down over and over again. But that's usually not the way to play. The aliens can also take over enemy corporations slowly so you have to keep an eye on that or you'll get overrun.
