A Hat in Time

S'alright, decent platformer with a good artstyle and sense of humor. The Seal the Deal DLC kinda sucks, but Nyakuza Metro was pretty fun. One thing that kinda irks me, and this is a personal problem I know, is that there's a good few achievements that require interacting with the Steam workshop and pretty lackluster online play. Other than that it's a solid 6/10 if you can get it at a good price.

Really fun game with cute graphics

Great game

Was finally able to play this game, and it was such a needed good-ol' collectathon platformer experience! I have to admit that the movement felt wonky and unresponsibe a few times, I was not a huge fan of the camera, the hitboxes in certain areas seemed highly out of place, and I did witness one or two crashes. But, A Hat in Time does so many things greatly that I can't feel anything but adoration for this game. The world is extremely vivid and charming, full of collectionables at seemingly any corner, funny and light-hearted character interactions, and each act unique and well-thought. It reminded me a lot to Super Mario 64 on that aspect! I also have to admire the effort put into the voice acting. From The Conductor to The Snatcher to even Hat Kid, each and every single voice actor has a lot of talent and very good delivery on each dialogue. But my absolute favorite thing of A Hat in Time are the collectables. Not only are they a lot of fun to search and obtain, the game actually rewards the player with cosmetics for going out of their way for them, and if that wasn't enough, a huge chunk of them are even required for mandatory progress with hat upgrades! I couldn't help but …

Very fun game. It was very nostalgic to someone who watched a lot of it when it came out. It can certainly be challenging at time, but fun.
