About POSTAL 4: No Regerts

✦ AI summary

Run errands or cause mayhem in the absurdist desert town of Edensin as the POSTAL Dude in this over-the-top open-world shooter that lets you tackle objectives peacefully or violently with ridiculous weapons and cat-based power-ups. It's a satirical sandbox where the joke is always on you, featuring multiple voice actors, bizarre weapon combinations, and the series' trademark anything-goes comedic chaos.

The POSTAL Dude is back!

Several years have passed since the events that devastated the once proud town remembered as Paradise. The only two to walk away from the cataclysm unscathed, the hapless everyman known as the POSTAL Dude and his loyal companion Champ, drive aimlessly through the scorching deserts of Arizona looking for a new place to call home. After a fortuitous gas station rest stop ends with their car, trailer home, and the rest of their worldly possessions stolen, all the Dude’s seemingly got left to his name is his canine cohort and his bathrobe, and neither of them smells all that great. However, on the horizon, the duo glimpses an unfamiliar and dazzling town that beckons to them. What untold prospects lie within? Fame? Fortune? Maybe a bidet or two? Edensin awaits.

POSTAL 4: No Regerts is a satirical and outrageous comedic open world first person shooter and the long-awaited true sequel to what’s been fondly dubbed as "The Worst Game Ever™", POSTAL 2! (No third game is known to exist.)

Key Features

  • Approach your errands in a non-linear fashion within total free roam, open world, sandbox gameplay! Seek out optional side quests for additional rewards! Or ignore all of that and just cause general pandemonium at your own leisure in the town of Edensin!
  • Pick-Yer-Dude! Choose Jon St. John, industry veteran and legendary voice for Duke Nukem, as the voice of the POSTAL Dude! Or go with returning fan favorites Rick Hunter (P1 & P2), Corey Cruise (PIII), and Zack Ward (The Movie) as alternate voice choices, giving you more POSTAL Dude than ever at your fingertips!
  • Enjoy full freedom in your choice of pacifist vs. aggressive playstyle! Plenty of new tools to support your (mostly) peaceful confrontations, but violence is still always an option too!
  • Brandish an over-the-top arsenal, from the devastating boom of the quadruple-barreled Fournicator to the feathered chaos of the Pigeon Mine!
  • Add that POSTAL twist to your weaponry with potent power-ups such as the classic Cat Silencer, the slow motion-inducing Catnip, and the dual wielding Energy Drink! Supercharge your fists, mighty foot, and urethra with a dose of the testicle-shrinking Vitamin X!
  • Discover unique weapon combos and capabilities! Combine a feline with a Grenade or the Rocket Launcher for some mobile explosive pussy! Mix a little Catnip with your Hunting Rifle to curve every bullet to its exact mark! Feeling down? Use the Rattler to grapple your way to new heights!
  • Experience a bevy of interactivity as you feed Doggie Treats to strays to gather canine armies to do your dirty work, stock up on inventory (for a price!) at automated Vending Machines, and, for the first time ever in the franchise, use and flush functioning toilets!

✦ AI summary

POSTAL 4: No Regerts is seen by players as a modest improvement over Postal 3 but falls short of the beloved Postal 2, hampered by poor optimization, performance issues, and unfunny writing that makes it difficult to enjoy even in co-op. The game struggles with technical problems including severe lag and frame rate drops that prevent players from fairly evaluating the actual gameplay, and the humor and mission design fail to compensate for these issues or the dated engine choice.

This game IS better than Postal 3 but remember: That is an EXTREMELY low bar. Its like saying you're a better person than Chris Chan and expecting a pat on the back for it. This game is only bearable in co-op if you spend more time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with friends than actually playing any of the missions, because the game itself is a unfunny poorly written mess that cant even be excused with good gameplay like Postal 2 could be for a lot of the people that didn't think that game was all that funny, and poor optimization that makes Postal 2 run like a perfect dream by comparison. All around another disappointing experience for anyone who's been a longtime fan of the series. If it wasn't for Brain Damaged being published by them I would have just assumed RWS was simply a one, maybe two hit wonder depending on how much you like Postal 1. Cause this is just the poor man's Postal 2, but twice as expensive.

Postal 4 is actually a pretty good game, but it’s held back by a terrible engine. Unreal Engine 4 clearly wasn’t the right choice for this game. The developers should seriously consider never using Unreal Engine again for a Postal game.

40-50 fps with constant freezes on potato settings with trash graphics that are worse than postal 2

Postal 2 was a Fluke. It sill has better gameplay, is funnier, runs better and somehow still looks better than anything the scissor boys have made afterwards.
