About RAGE 2

✦ AI summary

Blast through a post-apocalyptic open world as the last Ranger, wielding ridiculous weapons and superpowers to topple tyrannical gangs and The Authority. Avalanche and id Software unite for a fever dream of vehicular combat, explosive gunplay, and emergent sandbox mayhem across a massive, varied wasteland.

Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. RAGE 2 brings together two studio powerhouses–Avalanche Studios, masters of open world insanity, and id Software, creators of the first-person shooter –to deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.

An asteroid has annihilated 80% of the earth’s population, and humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule with an iron fist. As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland and a threat to their power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead. Now you’ll have to rage for justice and freedom. With ludicrous vehicle combat, super-powered first-person mayhem, and an open world full of emergent madness, you will tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling sadistic gangs to find the tools and tech needed to crush the oppressive rule of The Authority once and for all.

Key Features:

  • WELCOME TO THE SHOOTERVERSE
id Software’s shooter pedigree and Avalanche Studios’ open world prowess is dream-team-made-real for RAGE 2. It’s more than a shooter, more than an open world game – it’s a shooterverse.

  • PEDAL TO THE METAL
From monster trucks to gyrocopters, use an assortment of rugged and wasteland-ready vehicles to speed across the badlands. If you see it, you can drive it.
  • THE LAST RANGER
Bring the pain using a collection of upgradable weapons, devastating Nanotrite powers, and Overdrive, the ability to push your guns beyond their mechanical limits.
  • FACTIONS & FOES
Fight against ferocious factions for control of the wasteland, each featuring a rogue’s gallery of madmen, mutants, and monsters hungry for blood.
Gameplay
RAGE 2 is a sandbox FPS game set in a post-apocalyptic world, similar to Mad Max and Fallout. You play as the last ranger. Your goal is to destroy the general and his army, who attacked your base at the start of the game, and bring peace and order to the Wasteland. There are also different bandit factions in the game, and you can make the region safe by destroying their bases. You can find special places called Arks, which give your character cool powers and weapons. You can drive your vehicle to explore different locations on the map and gather loot. Additionally, you can chase enemy convoys and use the loot to upgrade your vehicle
Graphics
I think the graphics of the game are very good. The Wasteland map is well-designed. I really liked the visuals such as explosions, death animations and the environment. Considering the release date of the game it has great graphics.
Audio
The sound effects in the game are also among the things I liked. I especially enjoyed the voices and shouting of the enemies while fighting them. I usually played with the music turned off.
Story
You play as the last ranger in the world, living with your…

This game is absolutely atrocious, no cohesive story, millenial writing, absolute nothing burger of a game.

Definitely underrated. Not a masterpiece, but a damn good game that deserved more attention.

I really like this game. I ignored 90% of the story and just ran around playing with the doom-style gun play and generally had a blast. It's a 3/5 game at most but if you just like to mindlessly shoot it's pretty much the perfect game for you.

7/10 Overly maligned post apoc take on Far Cry, that is far better than the original ever was. Like seriously, some people have some clearly flawed memories of the 1st game, which was dull and generic. Loses points for the usual host of Bethseda bugs that never got fixed, but solid enough game play. Though probably has a few more abilities and upgrades than it really needed. Story is decent but nothing ground breaking, good mix of enemy factions and plenty to do however. Oh and finally, the amount of fragile masculinity whining this game caused is priceless. So many screaming little boys complaining about all the pink accent colours, how they can't take it seriously or how woke it is. Guess what, it's actually quite good and visually distinctive, rather than just another brown drab game yet again. Maybe go touch some nice green grass instead? Or better yet, some pink grass.

Very over-hated but surprisingly good (I have little hours because I had beat this on PlayStation not pc)
