Year later and game optimisation is still terrible, unless running on low settings there are always FPS drops Glad I had a chance to try it out for free, missed a bullet

Gameplay is great but the game is just so poorly optimized. Story is mid and not a lot of enemy variety. The guns are not as diverse as they used to be. I would recommend buying this on sale maybe 3-4 years as of this writing. Hopefully, the optimization problems are fixed by then and the discounts bigger.

Worst borderlands game i have ever played, optimization is awful, enemy scripting brakes constantly, guns are no fun to use, boring characters. Gliding and grappling are the only fun things to experience in this mess.

I think writing all these dystopian corporate companies gave them more ideas than lessons. Honestly I'm shocked to that they did not charge actual money for fast travel. Vault hunter cards monetize and flatten what was once the most fun about the game, buying a progression tree with themed cosmetics and reroll legendaries? Please. Goes to show just how special borderlands 2 really was and these is enough borderlands out there that you don't need to pay a mint to play this, I'll just be loading up 3 and just as well.

I don't know where all the hate comes from for this game. I 'm having fun. Initially I stayed away because off the mixed reviews and the price, but after playing it on the free to play weekend I am glad I got to try it because after 8 hours in I can say a lot of the bad reviews are unjustified and I ended up buying it. The gunplay is amazing, the fights are intense. Enemies level with you so when you go back to old areas it still provides a challenge. As far as the story, time will tell as I play through it. Yes I think the game is overpriced at full price and I would never pay that, but 50% off with all the DLC I think the game is worth it. As far as performance issues, I can't say that I have had any problems after a little bit of in game tweaking. It only took about 5 minutes to compile the shaders on start and the in game play has been smooth. I am getting around 95 average FPS so I capped the framerate at 90 with Rivia tuner and it has been silky smooth short rare split second hitch every now and then when UE5 tries to load to many assets at once but I have never seen it in gunfights and usually only occurs in cutscene transitions or major outdoor new transition…
