I have played my fair share of platformers and honestly, however you may look at it, Wooden Sen'Sey is janky, unfair at times and not fun. Apparently, not every indie which came out during that period, was gold.

Wooden Sen'SeY is a fast-paced action platformer developed by Upper Byte and published by Spawn Digital. Inspired by classic arcade platformers, it places players in a stylized world that merges feudal Japanese influences with imaginative steampunk technology, creating a setting the developers describe as "Japan Steam Rock." The story follows Goro, a determined village chief whose peaceful home is devastated by a ruthless enemy, setting him on a quest filled with danger, revenge, and countless platforming challenges. While the narrative remains relatively straightforward, it provides enough motivation to carry players through an adventure that focuses far more on gameplay mastery than cinematic storytelling. The game's greatest strength lies in its movement and combat systems. Goro's signature twin axes are more than simple melee weapons, serving as versatile tools for traversal and combat alike. Some games are bad because they have nothing good in them. Some games are bad because they are broken. This game is bad because it's boring, miserly, tedious and repetitive with an annoying combat system, awkward camera and dull experience masked by a very pretty coat of paint. Don't bother.
