I’ve been playing Wood Guy for a bit and it’s been a pretty fun experience overall. There are 310 levels and they’re all different, some are linear levels, others are boss fights or football-themed, which keeps things varied. You can unlock different weapons and cosmetics, which is a nice touch. The gameplay is simple, but the physics are kind of weird. Sometimes the character doesn’t move the way you want, which can be a bit frustrating, especially in tighter spots. I found the controls much better with a controller, it feels smoother and more manageable. There are a few bugs, like parts of some maps where the ground has no hitbox and you fall through. It doesn’t ruin the game, but it’s noticeable. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my time with it. It’s not perfect, but it’s got charm and enough variety to keep it interesting.

The game is nice, I had some fun on steam so I also bought it on switch. I ended up having tons of fun with the multi on my couch with friends, while on steam I enjoyed the solo gameplay more.

Wood guy is a small and quite "easy" to play game which doesn't require much skills. It is fun to play but sometimes it gets to your nerves because the character moves weirdly at times so it can get tricky to move as intended. Other than that I mean the game is fun when you play with friends and it takes a few hours to finish so for the price it gets the job done.

Wood Guy is an adorable and fun game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The regular cosmetic unlocks to customize your wooden puppet are a nice touch, and the mix of 2D platforming in a handmade 3D world feels refreshingly unique. However, don’t be fooled by its cute appearance—there’s a die-and-retry aspect that can get pretty frustrating, especially on some of the harder levels (though thankfully, they’re not too frequent). The main downsides are some pesky bugs, particularly with the puppet’s physics, and controls that feel clunky, especially if you’re playing with a keyboard. It’s a game that could use some polish, but it’s still a fun and original experience!

EDIT: i take it all back this is the greatest game in history This comment is the fulfillment of a promise I made to write a funny review on this game. I would try to make a joke about how this game "saved my life" or "fixed my marriage" (despite the fact I'll never have someone who loves me), however, this game genuinely sucked the joy out of me. To call this a game would be a downright lie, an experience is a much more befitting title. By the time you see this review, this game will be completely hidden from my steam account. I do not want to look this game in the eyes every time I go to mess around in ULTRAKILL (I'm addicted). I'm not quite comfortable with the place my mental state is at right now. If you want to play this, there's a mobile version free (with ads and scummy in-app purchases). I guess all I'm trying to say is I'm quite tired. That is all. Sorry for scaring off any of your customers, Yso Corp. Also half of your achievements are unobtainable.
