Capsized, developed and published by Alientrap, is a 2D action-platformer that blends physics-driven movement, shooting mechanics, and environmental problem-solving into a tightly interwoven experience. Set on a hostile alien world after a crash landing, the game wastes little time on exposition and instead throws players directly into a survival scenario where exploration and adaptability are key. It is a game that prioritizes mechanical engagement over narrative, offering a challenging and often intense journey that revolves around mastering its systems rather than following a story. The most striking element of Capsized is how it handles movement. Instead of relying on traditional platforming controls, the game introduces a jetpack and a gravity-based grappling tool that fundamentally change how players navigate the environment. Movement becomes a constant balancing act—managing thrust, momentum, and positioning while avoiding hazards and enemies. This creates a dynamic flow where traversal feels fluid but never effortless. At first, the controls can feel awkward or overly sensitive, but with time, they reveal a deeper level of precision that rewards practice. Once mastered, mo…

Capsized hooked me immediately with its gorgeous hand-drawn alien environments and spine-tingling electronic soundtrack — it genuinely feels like being stranded on a dangerous, living world. The grappling hook and gravity ram give the movement a satisfying physicality, and the weapon variety kept early levels feeling fresh and inventive. That said, I won't pretend the controls don't take some getting used to; the floaty physics engine that makes the world feel alive is the same one that occasionally sends you careening into a wall of enemies you couldn't see coming. The back half of the game drags a bit as the level design leans harder on repetition, and a couple of late missions tested my patience more than my skill. Still, for the price — especially in a bundle — the atmosphere alone is worth the trip, and I walked away genuinely impressed by what this small team pulled off.

Honestly nope. Would love to love it but design-wise they made a bunch of really awful choices that simply make the experience quite frustrating.

Its a Sci-Fi Metroid-esque, nice side scroller with a survival twist. The Soundtrack is just well, its what got me into this game. Beat it once on a windows low end pc (win 8/10) and going for it again on a steamdeck. Keeping it at native 1280x720 is fine with minimal clipping. Sound works fine. Its playable and thats what counts. Its a comfy game to me. Once you've completed stages with enough stars your able to play survival and arcade modes. Cool lil gem of a game. Its best played with Keyboard and Mouse yet still somewhat playable with a controller. Hope this helps, Game on!

I like the atmosphere and the graphics but the controlls with the hook and flight feels weird so I'm not enjoying the gameplay
