Investigate a chilling conspiracy linking secret cults and Lovecraftian horrors across London, Switzerland, Louisiana, and Scotland as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson uncover the truth behind mysterious disappearances. Play in immersive first or third-person perspective while combining clues and interrogating over 60 characters to solve this unique clash between rational deduction and supernatural terror.
The game puts the player into an investigation of the myth of Cthulhu - as imagined by author H.P. Lovecraft. Sherlock Holmes, assisted by the loyal Doctor Watson, investigates strange disappearances which seem related to the activity of a secret sect. The adventure begins in London, in the renowned Baker Street, taking us to investigate a disturbing psychiatric hospital near Bale, Switzerland, on to Louisiana and finally to Scotland.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2008) offers an engaging mystery adventure set in the Cthulhu Mythos with decent puzzles and a helpful hint system, though players report significant technical issues and incoherent puzzle logic that feels like parts of the game are missing. Most reviewers suggest playing the remake instead, as it addresses many of the original's problems, making this version worth considering only if you specifically want the older iteration and can tolerate its technical rough edges.

Great game, little buggy and some of the puzzles are a bit frustrating. I came across a soft-lock bug, but thankfully i had a previous save so was able to continue.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2008) The Sherlock Holmes series returns with this updated version of The Awakened, which brings a whole new dimension to the original title developed by Frogwares. The game puts the player into an investigation of the Cthulhu Mythos - as imagined by Father of modern horror, H.P. Lovecraft.
The dialogue and puzzles are weird. The characters always start talking about things that you haven't heard about yet. The puzzles are incoherent and have no logical connections. It's as if someone is constantly cutting parts out of the game.
I love mystery games and this sherlock holmes Awakening has that in spades
