Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD

This franchise's world is incredibly creative. The story and humor are great. Reminds me of my favorite movie Rango.

i tried playing this on steam deck but it just opened some windows setting

First thoughts and impressions Just went from the ♥♥♥♥ show that was Munche's Oddysee to Strangers Wrath and man it's probably the most unique game i've played in a long time, it's a hybrid of a third person platformer and a first person shooter that feels like a Quake mod and a HL1 mod, and with keyboard and mouse it feels good, i really like this game and so far i think what gets me is i'm not really a fan of the designs in this, they feel generic but i guess the sacrifice is the gunplay and mechanics which carries this gun, and overall so far it's very fun, the reason i never played this one is because it was the different Oddworld game and it didn't have Abe in it so my kid self never played it then years later till now i finally get to play this game And no pun intended but it is strange, like very strange to have this style, i haven't seen it done, and also this kind of reminds me of Psychonauts which is a plus for me Day 2 of playing - The game is a bit repetitive, like i get it's a bounty game but it's pretty much the same thing but you do different things, there isn't much to it like i am not much of a bounty guy even know i like bounty hunters, but this gameplay loop…

I have a very hard bias for this game, so I can only suggest it since it is one of the core videogames that defined some aspects of my person, and it is amazing to me to be able to play it again on steam. BUT, the port is very buggy, I even made a discussion on the steam discussion page of this game to help others, since even the achievements are very buggy. Still it is playable but prepare for some guide reading and researching on how to make it work on your machine... still thanks, partially, the devs.

FPS set in Oddworld universe. Play as gunslinger, collect various small creatures and use them as ammo! unfortunately, game almost no relation to Abe's Odyssey. I had some fun playing this but beware that sometimes the char get stuck. Good intro to someone that would like a First person view game.

It's an all time classic for a reason
