This is the first "boomer shooter" I couldn't enjoy, no matter how hard I tried. [u]Positive:[/u] It feels like a classic 3D realms game (even some sound effects are straight out of Duke Nukem 3D) and the humor is allright. It's clearly a product of its time. Some jokes and one liners are funny, some are cringe but there is really nothing outstanding here. Also, the Katana weapon is awesome, as well as the double uzis. [u]Negative:[/u] Terrible level design. Key- and door-hunting to the max in a (often) nonsensical and confusing map layout. A lot of time is spent searching every nook and cranny in the map in order to progress while half of the time running into obscure secret areas instead of finding the next main key. The Katana weapon, while cool in itself, has barely any visual impact when hitting the enemies. Sometimes it feels very random to hit an enemy. The weapons in general are underwhelming and oftentimes feel weak (except for the explosive weapons). Sword, Shuriken, Uzis, Shotgun, Grenade launcher etc. Quite a boring selection. The first game ever to give me massive motion sickness. I eventually had to stop playing during that "flying carpet" section and decided to …

An oldschool classic that I highly recommend.
Playing on VSM, using Proton 11.0.2 with forced compatibility. Game is unstable, but I managed to finish it with MANY CRASHES. Jagged movement causes eye-strain. Awful Classic 90s FPS port, the worst I have ever played.
