It's pretty good, but I wish there was "Vanilla" option... or "Chocolate" if you say.

One of the giants of the Build Engine! Great game to play if you're looking for a boom shooter. This game walked so Dusk could run!

Bruh, just bruh. It is so annoying experience to play this game. You have a cool katana and fists, but you don't feel their impact and it's not joyful to use them. You have a big but bulky shotgun that looks cool, but fires with 1-3 shells at minute. Weak double Uzi that waste 1/4 of its magazine on one foe (at best!). And this Remaster is awful and it's always crashing (especially when you're trying to do a fast load). Better play Duke Nukem 3D or Blood: they're longer, playable and cooler than that we have here >:\

Part of the most well known trio of FPS games on Build, beside Duke Nukem and Blood. And, honestly, one of the most fun! I dunno if I'd personally rank it above Blood but there's a lot to like here. Firstly I just think this version of Lo Wang is a lot more tolerable than nuWang. Sure, it's definitely an, uh, product of its time (and kind of a lech), but there's lots of funny lines and some pretty badass ones (splattering a group of ninjas with a grenade and hearing a drawn out 'I KILL YOU!' is a good example). He talks a lot, but not *as* much as the other guy. Secondly, the combat's very fluid and quite fast paced, bar some jank with the Railgun. The katana's useful for saving ammo and is surprisingly effective against Rippers and Shadow Ninjas, the shurikens are accurate, the Riot Gun's just a choice shotgun I'd rank alongisde Blood's sawed-off, the Uzis are fun to spam, and the Rocket and Grenade launchers are distinct *and* fun as hell to use. As for the maps? They're.. mostly ok? The aesthetics are cool but they can get pretty mazey and honestly I think they're the weakest aspect of the game. I had to look up some let's plays to figure out the more obtuse levels of the …

I was gifted Shadow Warrior because it's a Build Engine game that's good but overlooked compared to the likes of Duke Nukem 3d or Blood—the former of which I have played, the latter I haven't. This is a really nice package, even if it is packaged somewhat oddly into three executables for the three campaigns. I'll give my tuppence worth on each campaign below. As a whole, it's a really nicely done game. The modernisation works really well so that the graphics look excellent at 4k resolutions and run really well. I didn't have any complaints or run into any issues with how it ran, save for a couple of crashes at a couple of moments. Not sure what caused them, but they weren't show-stopping at least. Generally, it felt like I was playing a 1997 game on a very good Source Port, which is exactly what I'd want. There's a decent range of weapons, but I found myself pretty much exclusively leaning on the Uzis and Riot Gun (shotgun) because they're effective and ammo was plentiful. Missiles came out for bosses and maybe the grenade launcher at times. I wonder if on harder difficulties that the arsenal is more interesting because of increased scarcity? This didn't dampen my enjoyment, but…
