Players take on the role of Monkey, utilizing a mix of combat, strategy and environmental traversal to ensure he and Trip survive the threats and obstacles that stand in the way of their freedom.

[h1] If you like those one shot action adventure games with nice plot and reliable gameplay then Enslaved is on your list. Similar to games like Bionic Commando and such it offer good mix of action, platforming and combat. Improve abilities to become even greater than in real life and become true monkey king. Fights can be frustrating but when learning how to make proper combos it's walk in the park. Climbing is often, check surroundings to find passages and levers. Levels engaging enough to play more. Visuals not so great now, still make it up for with decent gameplay and interesting story. [/h1]4 found this helpful

[b]I've been taking a Trip down memory lane replaying my old favorites on the steam deck and I am amazed how well this one holds up even today. It is a blast from start to finish and a cult classic for a good reason.[/b] [h2]Visuals, world building[/h2] The main selling point of the game was how cinematic it was. Some big hollywood names were attached back when it meant something and it really showed. The characters look good and are very expressive even by today's standards. The cutscenes still look very cinematic. Sure the textures and the environmental details could use un upgrade now, but the artwork is timeless. I think Horizon Zero Dawn took a lot of inspiration from this game. There are a lot of similarities in the worlds: post apocalyptic but very colorful, beastlike mechs roaming the land and the people are living like savages. Of course the world of HZD is much more fleshed out, but the characterization in this game is miles ahead. [h2]Story[/h2] This game was made in an era were they put real effort into the writing, and they tried to actually appeal to their core audience: young guys/boys. There are no arrogant girl bosses here who know it all and can do it all. …
