Fights in Tight Spaces

Great concept: card battler with the added twist of movement and positioning. I had a lot of fun with it, even if it lacks the high polish of a Slay the Spire. Now that I've finally cleared it, I'm looking forward to playing the sequel, Knights in Tight Places.

Great base game, better with DLC. Love it as a filler between more heavy games, there are some puzzle aspects to solving the layout and the enemy types, and then variation based on which character and deck you choose. Find it pretty challenging but on lower difficulty it becomes cool and meditative. Balance feels better as you start to unlock decks, but it's also possible to overcommit to new cards and break the engine as you progress. Biggest beef is that the cost for upgrading and removing cards seems too high, especially on lower difficulty.

It's a good game, with a lot of replayability value. It's not perfect because of several small things (I played on Classic Plus): The obstacles which are in front of the camera view are difficult to read, which means that sometimes you can forget thaat they are on your way. However it is a turn game, so it's not such a big deal. My main problems is that after one mission, usually you dont revover your full health, which means that you might need to replay from the beginning. Also you can't restart one mission from the beginning. This looks like big problems, but I'm sure thare are mods which fix this, and there are not huge problems.

I was just thinking what would make a perfectly choreographed fighting game, and remembered that this exists. Turn-based so you can actually plan your clever maneuvers, and card-based so you can't just spam a single practical solution everywhere. 10/10, literally perfect genre for this kind of action!
