Heroine Anthem Zero -Sacrifice-

The game isn't necessarily bad, but it's very bland. The game is just kinda dull, especially the combat.

[h2]Mixed Bag[/h2] On one hand the art (+fan service) and some of the character interactions are good, and the brief snippets of lore was cool... on the other, gameplay is boring basic 2D action platformer and the ending... I guess this was setup for the sequel, but still I thought there was going to be a bit more than that :/ (The real game is actually Zero 2 apparently) Music is pretty good too! It felt like there was a lot of thought put into this; lore, art and whatnot, even a decent effort for the localization... it just felt really weak as an actual GAME.

sadly no neutral on steam and to many flaws for a thumb up. Lets begin with the positives: The game looks beatiful and has very good event cg. the chars are all unique and fun (though alot of "anime cliches" are present). The whole story is pretty easy to follow and pretty interesting with the whole setting it takes place in. sadly thats already all of the positive things i have to say. Now the negatives (or somewhat neutral ones): Combat is rather dull and poorly balanced. most enemys die within 1-3 hits and deal maybe 5-10% of your hp as dmg (if they ever get the chance to attack). there is hardly any danger when fighting normal enemys. bosses seem to be balanced around you having 2-3 "power stars" (random drop which grants increased aoe and attack and is lost when getting hit by certain enemy attacks). there is no dodge or block (even though the main char has a shield equiped). There is way to much random filler in the story, which just drags on and on. The neutral zones are to big for no real reason. Also if you expect a metroidvania you will be dissapointed. there is no backtracking and no powerups which enable new paths. its rather linear (some side areas exist, but you don…

Like being repeatedly hit with a daisy. At first you think, oh get lost this is never gonna bother me. But after the 100'th tap you're like, enough, ENOUGH!, AAAAAAAAH!! Such is the interminable nonsense that is the dialogue in this game. Interspersed with random jerking of your jointed paper puppet. Sacrifice... absolutely. But like some sort of terrible habit, you keep coming back for more.
