Operation Thunderstorm

Good old school WW2 shooter, very linear and short, 3-4 hours. It's definitely worth a play through if you enjoyed some of the old WW2 shooters. This reminds me of the old PS1 MOH games. Nothing fancy just kill Nazi's. You can snag it for a $1 on sale too. No tweaks necessary but I did adjust the FOV using the instructions from PCGAMINGWIKI

4/10, this game is kinda boring and janky, but it has it's moments. I wish steam had mixed reviews... The story is uninteresting, the voice acting is lacking and the gameplay is very unpolished. This game has a lot of dull corridors and lame enemies. You have 2 variants of enemies, the MP40 one and the Kar one, THAT'S IT (they sometimes throw grenades at you to spice up the combat). Also, it has small glitches everywhere, from ragdolls not working, to clipping of the map while climbing a ladder. The way the character moves is slow and strange and sometimes I got stuck in place while the reload animation was happening, which got me killed. The guns are... something... I guess..., you have a knife that's useless, cause stealth doesn't work, a Luger, that has no bullets, a Sten, that also has no bullets, a Panzerfaust, that operates like a grenade launcher(I don't know why), the aforementioned MP40, that does little damage, has a recoil like it's CSGO and is useless on medium and long ranges (sometimes on close range aswell), a Kar98, with crooked iron sights and a tiny scope during ONE MISSION and at last, the all mighty STG44, that's pin point accurate, good at all ranges and does…

Good fun for an older game. The map layouts are good considering the age, and the short campaign has great ragdoll physics and gun mechanics. Worth a playthrough if you grew up with medal of honor and old school CoD, the sounds alone are a nostalgia trip

Operation Thunderstorm is another older WW2 game that I actually enjoyed more than I expected. The game is old and you can obviously see that from the graphics and animations, but honestly I don't really mind these things. It runs really smooth and for me the gameplay was simple but fun. The story takes place in 1942 and you play as an MI6 secret agent sent into enemy territory. Your main targets are some of the most important people of the Third Reich like Goebbels, Himmler and Göring. You fight through places like a French town, a castle in Bavaria and even a secret facility in Poland. The gunplay is nothing crazy but I actually liked it. Just a classic old school FPS where you grab a weapon and start shooting enemies. The missions were nice and I liked the different locations, especially because it didn't feel like I was looking at the same map for the whole game. Of course the AI can be a little stupid sometimes and the game is definitely showing its age, but for me that is part of the experience with these older games Overall I had fun with Operation Thunderstorm. I would say this game feels like Return To Castle Wolfenstein, but with better visual and graphic. It's a pretty decent game I would say, though controls and character movement are a bit junky, but still pretty much an alright classic game.
