Thea: The Awakening

Thea: The Awakening is a unique blend of strategy, RPG, survival, and village management. I'm totally addicted to it. I love games where I can command each unit, level up their stats, equip different gear, experiment with different builds, manage resources, and explore an open map. Thea is one of those rare games where every decision matters. Choosing who leaves the village, what equipment to craft, which event option to pick, and even whether to negotiate or fight can completely change your campaign. The game constantly rewards experimentation, and every run teaches you something new. It isn't beginner friendly, you'll probably spend plenty of time reading guides and the wiki. But once everything clicks, it becomes incredibly addictive. If you enjoy discovering deep systems rather than having everything explained, few games do it better. Rating: 8.5/10 – A hidden gem.

Thea: The Awakening offers an inventive mixture of turn-based strategy, survival, role-playing, crafting, resource management, and roguelike elements within a bleak world inspired by Slavic mythology. Developed and published by MuHa Games, it avoids the usual fantasy premise of commanding mighty armies and conquering vast kingdoms. Instead, the player assumes the role of a deity watching over a small group of survivors after a catastrophic force known as the Darkness has devastated civilization. The resulting experience is less about domination and more about keeping a fragile community alive in a world where starvation, monsters, poor decisions, and unfortunate encounters can quickly destroy years of progress. Village management forms the foundation of the experience. Survivors can gather materials, construct buildings, research useful technologies, craft equipment, and perform specialized jobs according to their abilities. The extensive crafting system is particularly impressive, with thousands of possible items and numerous materials influencing what can be produced. Equipment is more than a simple statistical upgrade because individual villagers can carry weapons, armor, tools…

Fantastic "One more Turn" game. Has some rough edges but all in all I recommend this game wholeheartedly. My rating 8/10, just one more turn aaand it's past midnight again.

Just awesome to dive into the world, never knowing what might happen next. Multiple ways to strategize add a lot of deapth to this game. Love it.
