Circuitous ®

Minimalist arcade puzzle game with a bunch of levels, great if you want to test and improve your reflexes. It becomes annoying quickly tho and I quite frankly don't have the patience to repeat the same levels over and over again until I get it right but hey someone might find it more fun.

Circuitous ® is a simple minimalist action/reflexes puzzle game where the objective is to get your arrow through the concentric rings to the middle. The problem, of course, is a bunch of rotating obstacles, meaning you have to dodge and negotiate the maze of static and moving obstacles to succeed. That's all there is to this, a shallow experience to rival Super Hexagon and other time wasting games with less than 5 minutes worth of interest. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. An interesting little arcade "Dodge 'em up" game, The game gets hard quickly, which may rub some people the wrong way. But u can change to infinite lives at any time, and learn the levels before you increase the difficulty. There are multiple level sets each with 5, 10 or 15 levels. Some of the levels can be quite hypnotizing, with circular spinning patterns. I found competitive mode the most enjoyible to play, (you start each level set with 3 lives). And managed to complete the game on competitive mode, which is no easy task. The game is fairly no frills, and most modern gamers are probably going to hate it. but if your an old fashioned gamer and your looking for something different and hard, the game is often on sale for less than $1

I guess it works as a puzzle game. The inputs drop easily and are delayed and the framerate is choppy for such a simple game. So-called minimalist games should have zero performance issues. Barely passable.
