The Stillness of the Wind

I don't really get the negative reviews. I feel like this is a pretty thoughtful game that allows the player to make different decisions within a limited amount of time. I spent my entire first playthrough making way too much cheese unnecessarily. I plan to focus on exploration with my second playthrough. There are so many little things hidden around and quite frankly, I don't feel as though you are meant to discover everything in one go - that's kind of how life is in general which is something this game easily touches upon. I found the mouse/keyboard controls to be fine. Gameplay did not annoy me. The story was, as mentioned earlier, thoughtful and left a lot up to the player's interpretation. Goat.

It was never about the perfect playthrough.

The stillness of the wind delivers a great experience for the short playtime you need to complete the game. It completely captivated my attention with just the few tasks you can do in one day. Milking the goats, making cheese, getting fresh eggs from the chickens, or tending to your crops. The days are short, and the only person who comes by is the local trader, who seems to be the only real contact we have, aside from the letters from our family. While it does make you feel isolated, looking at the deserted location around your little farm, it also makes you feel at home. Later, there are sometimes wolves at night, and you should protect your goats from them. I know I am not close to the end yet, but I also hope it still takes a while since it is really enjoyable, and I wish for a good ending. This lady must have had an impressive life, and now she has a tiny spot for herself and her livestock.
