one of the most gorgeous games i've ever played for sure. and i suck at anything resembling a platformer but this was a banger
I was honestly having a decent time with Gris until I ran into a completely game-breaking bug that killed the experience. During the section where the giant bird screams at you, my controls completely locked up. You are supposed to use the "stone form" to block the wind, but the game refused to register a single input. I restarted multiple times, but I was softlocked every single time, unable to do anything while this bird just continuously screamed at my screen. After doing some research, I found out this is a widely known issue. Apparently, the game's physics break at higher framerates, and the only way past it is to hard-cap the game at 60 FPS. The kicker is, Gris has incredibly bare-bones graphic settings and zero built-in options for an FPS lock. You have to go out of your way to force a limit through your GPU control panel just to progress. It is frankly embarrassing that a major, progression-blocking bug like this still exists years after the game's release. No matter how pretty a game is, it doesn't excuse being unplayable. Cannot recommend.
I've started to play this game because a friend told me that I'll love, and I'm so happy that I believed in her because this game is AMAZING! The lyrics and visuals are unbelivable and for me, who is a terrible person playing games, this is kind of easy. It has a lot of levels and sometimes I don't even know where I am, but is funny exploring and find out new thinks! If you are looking for a beautiful game with a good storie ( without dialogue) I highly recommend it! :)
One of the most beautiful and tranquil games I've ever played
