I started playing this game because some friends got me into SAO. I love it so far and cant wait to play multiplayer with them.

*NECESSARY DISCLAIMER* I highly recommend using a controller to play this and any other SAO game in the series. I played this game for 100+ hours on my PS4 and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. Playing through it a second time YEARS later it is just as good. I didnt understand the implementation system for my entire PS4 playthrough and thus never unlocked the OSS Chaining. Now that I have it on this playthrough this game is truly incredible. It does look like an older game but I absolutely love it! The new characters introduced in the game are some of my favorite characters in all of SAO. The story is very interesting, and the gameplay once you know what you are doing is super fun! This is by far my favorite SAO game I have played all the way through but Hollow Realization also seems promising.

It was a hard decision to recommend this game or not; it's not that I don't like it, it's just repetitive as hell. I completed all the Hollow story, and what is left is going up to 100 floors, and it's just pure grind. After each floor you have some relationship events, but it's not worth the time you spend on one floor. If you really like SAO as I do, you will probably just end playing after completing the Hollow story or after reaching 100 floors. As for gameplay, for the first ~10-15 hours, it was interesting, but after ~100 levels, you became mostly overpowered; even mobs 150+ levels felt pretty easy to beat. As for gear, it became useless after you found the right one for your build; when you got it, you just never swapped it. For weapons, there is another story; you can upgrade your weapons as many times as you can (almost), so you can have starting weapons with pretty strong stats (if you're lucky). So, what we have is a pretty average game with some fan service; that's all.

Good game

I've run into numerous problems with this game as much as I want to like it. Mostly with controller issues, then issues with the camera. Honestly, wouldn't recommend.
